Guest guest
Hello All! This will be a very general question as I have a few patients with this problem. I realize that acupuncture can help POF but I am not sure that I am doing the best thing. Overall, my focus is tonifying the kidneys with acu and moxa. I do not have access to herbs (I live abroad and they are not the easiest to get) so acu will have to suffice. Hoping someone can give me some more direction. Thanks in advance!! Guest guest
The main thing as far as promoting ovulation would be to use e-stim at bai liao and moxa both there and on the abdomen. This as well as treating the presentation. How much do you factor in diet and life style. That can have a huge impact on someones ability to concieve. Without having more details that is about all the info I could give. --- On Thu, 9/11/08, caitdonovan <caitdonovan wrote: caitdonovan <caitdonovan Premature Ovarian Failure Chinese Medicine Thursday, September 11, 2008, 12:26 PM Hello All! Guest guest
Thanks Petra! This is the kind of thing I was looking for. I am big on diet and try to do lifestyle stuff... but living in Poland, there are less options available and they are usually expensive. (besided the fact that the culture is so different, convincing people it is a good idea is tough... especially in a foreign language!) For example, there is one tai chi class offered (and i live in the capital!) and only a handful of yoga studios for 2 million people. Diet stuff polish people are open too... or at least they listen. Not sure how much they do at home. Having so many barriers to practice is tough, but I like the challenge!! Guest guest
Hi, POF is generally associated with a deficiency of Kidney Yin. Yin relating to the egg. The use of acupuncture to tonify Kidney Yin will help as will dietary advice, see http://www.attiliodalberto.com/articles/Foods%20for%20Yin%20Deficiency.pdf. However, personally, for such a chronic disorder such as this, herbs are a must! Guest guest
Hello Attilio! I would love to see your list of food for yin deficiency but i cannot seem to get it to open. So,if you have any other way of sending it, that would be great and MUCH appreciated!! I, also, would love to give her herbs... still fighting with where and how to get them... Poland is still not really open to TCM and even the pracititioners here do not want to help each other. It is every man for himself. Thank goodness for this forum!
