pungent to treat dryness or yin vacuity

Jason, 

 

I have always shied away from pungent foods and herbs based upon the assumption

that they will further deplete and disperse her already compromised yin. 

 

Can anyone else share their experience using pungent to treat patients who are

severely Yin Vacuous?

So why not use pungent herbs, the real problem is the fluid right?

Yehuda does she feel better after eating scallions and garlic, hot

chilis? Ban Xia is not the only pungent herb, but it is one of the

most dangerous to the yin I think...
