Guest guest
I have rarer than rare medical condition. I have Short Bowel Syndrome. There are more infants with this disorder than adults. They are saving babies that have bowel disease that they used not to do save. My short bowel syndrome is made rarer because I do not have a large bowel at all and only 4 ft / 1.22 m of my small bowel. The so called large hospitals in my area have not any references to validate or invalidate my affects of having such a maimed intestine. Some nurses and doctors so disbelieve what I claim they become actively prejudice. I have been severely traumatized by two of the large medical corporations in my area. I now have an Internist doc who is not affiliated with any medical corporation. I have one symptom that is making life not worthwhile. I have severe fatigue. I used to call them attacks but now it is more constant and I get a day and a half to two days reprieve each week. I am hoping this new doc is going to change that. Actually, I do have hope he and I are going to do so. I am chronically 64 years of age. Medically, my body is closer to that of a 70 years of age man. Another effect of my condition is accelerated aging. I hope to learn a lot from all the members here and maybe even pass on a little help to others. Guest guest
Hi Richard. Yes--that is rare indeed. I have to assume that because your bowel is so short, that you are not absorbing enough nutrients, and therefore that is part of the reason for your fatigue. Do you know that you can take just about all your vitamins and minerals transdermally, and bypass the need for absorbing them from the bowel? It actually works better for most people to take them transdermally anyway, because it goes more directly into the blood, rather than having to go through all the intestines first. Most people just don't do transdermal applications because it's easy for them to just pop a tablet. But in your case, that isn't doing you much good. Some very ill people have even decided to take baths with their vitamins and minerals dissolved into the bathwater, and when they soak their whole body absorbs it. Otherwise, you get your vitamins/minerals in a liquid form and just apply it to the skin. You can increase the absorption even more if you add the liquid nutrients to some DMSO, as DMSO will carry it very quickly into the blood, faster than just the liquid by itself. The only thing is that DMSO tastes like garlic and you will taste that in your mouth. For some people, if they get even a little DMSO, their breath will smell strongly of garlic. There are even others that their whole body will smell. Usually taking some liquid chlorophyll will stop the smell, except in the rare cases of high intolerance to DMSO. If that was you--intolerant of it--then you'd just apply the nutrients by themselves. You will still probably get more that way than by taking pills. I'm glad you finally found a good doctor. He can make your life much easier. samala, Renee ---- I now have an Internist doc who is not affiliated with any medical corporation. I have one symptom that is making life not worthwhile. Guest guest
Important to take plant-source enzymes with every meal, probiotics on awaking and retiring, and betaine hydrochloride with pancreatin before or early in large meals. A hair analysis can tell you how you are doing with reference to mineral absorption and balance. You may need to add colloidal minerals and vitamin C to all your fluids. A blood test can tell you how well you are absorbing your proteins and managing your fats. Preformed fatty acids (EPA and DHA) will be superior to flax and other seed oils. Fat-soluble vitamins should be preformed (I.E. vitamin A from fish liver oil will be better than beta-carotene) --- On Fri, 4/30/10, Renee <gaiacita wrote: Renee <gaiacitaRe: Hi, new here...
