Breaking News:

Second Exorcism and Memorial held for Murdered Native Children at the Vatican, despite Police Harrassment - FRD Delegation meets with Italian Parliamentarians

Rome: April 8, 2010

For the second time in six months, members of the Friends and Relatives of the Disappeared (FRD) rallied at the Vatican to remember the children killed by the Roman Catholic church, and confront the spirit and regime responsible.

This time, however, they were met with police harrassment and a new Italian law that bans all public protest or dissent anywhere near the Vatican: a law they successfully defied.

Last Easter Sunday, April 4, the FRD delegation of two natives and two whites, led by Rev. Kevin Annett, was swarmed by fifteen officers of the Italian State Police as the delegation prepared to hold a memorial prayer vigil for residential school children.

The police prevented the group from gathering, demanded identification, and physically prevented them from speaking to news media reporters who stood nearby. The FRD delegation and their Italian supporters were then followed and monitored by police all over Rome.

Undaunted, the FRD group returned to the Vatican two days later and held an exorcism rite next to St. Peter's Square, continuing the ritual conducted last October by Rev. Annett at the same location.

The exorcism, officiated once again by Rev. Annett, (see youtube link, above) named and unmasked the spirit of lies and murder in the Catholic church, and disarmed and expelled the spiritual and corporate power of the church.

Later that week, the FRD delegation met with a Human Rights commission of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, and described the evidence of genocide in Canadian and American Indian residential schools, as well as the coverup of these crimes by church and state in Canada. The FRD asked the Commission to endorse a motion to the Italian and European parliaments calling for an international investigation into crimes against humanity in Canadian Indian residential schools.

The Rome actions followed on a week of lectures and public demonstrations by the FRD members in a half dozen Italian cities, including in Genoa, where the provincial and city governments endorsed the FRD's campaign and sponsored their event.

One of the FRD delegates, Clarita Vargas from the Colville indigenous nation in Washington, and a survivor of a Catholic residential school, described how a priest buried a small aboriginal baby alive beneath the floor of a church near the St. Mary's Jesuit mission school.

Her remarks, Rev. Annett's actions, and the FRD tour, were widely reported on both national television networks in Italy, major Rome newspapers, and European television affiliates, all of whom interviewed the FRD group members.

Tomorrow, Rev. Kevin Annett will travel to London, England, where from April 11 to 14, he will hold vigils with supporters outside Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and the Canadian Embassy, calling for international sanctions against the governments and churches responsible for the Canadian genocide and the ongoing abuse of children.

On April 15, Rev. Annett will take part in a rally in Dublin at the Dail (Parliament) with survivors of the Catholic church.

The FRD plans to return to Italy and other European centres in October to continue their campaign to win governmental support for an international Tribunal into religious genocide.

The genocide that continues today and which stemmed from the

residential schools needs to be exposed. Kevin Annett helps break the silence, and brings the voice of our people all over the world."Carol Muree Martin - Spirit Tree WomanNisgaa Nation"I gave Kevin Annett his Indian name, Eagle Strong Voice, in 2004 when I adopted him into our Anishinabe Nation. He carries that name proudly because he is doing the job he was sent to do, to tell his people of their wrongs. He speaks strongly and with truth. He speaks for our stolen and murdered children.
