It has always been my impression that "evacuation chambers", where oxygen content was slowly reduced were humane, and that the animal simply got drowsy, went to sleep and never woke up. I rescued quite

a few animals, which I brought to the ASPCA

when I couldn't care for them. This is what they told me. Was I lied to?Each homeless animal facility operates differently. Some are very humane but I've seen one where several very frightened cats and dogs were stuffed together into a chamber and gassed to death. I don't understand how they get away with calling themselves the "Humane" Society. It was heartbreaking! Betsy
