Snopes would have you believe this is false http://www.snopes.com/science/microwave/plants.asp

but... (and no, I have never tried the experiment, myself), water is life, microwaves are manmade (at least in the sense of microwave ovens) better to be open to the possibility.

 

Besides, (and I know a lot of people rely solely on what snopes says to be true or not), it is better to not put so much faith and trust in something we have no real knowledge of.

 

Plants are living and in some way, so is water.

I'm just saying...........

Below is a science fair project. In it she took filtered water

and pided it into two parts. The first part she heated to

boiling in a pan on the stove, and the second part she heated

to boiling in a microwave. Then after cooling she used the

water to water two identical plants to see if there would be

any difference in the growth between the normal boiled water

and the water boiled in a microwave. She was thinking that

the structure or energy of the water may be compromised by

microwave. As it turned out, even she was amazed at the

difference.

 

 

I have known for years that the problem with microwaved

anything is not the radiation people used to worry about, It's

how it corrupts the DNA in the food so the body can not

recognize it. So the body wraps it in fat cells to protect itself

from the dead food or it eliminates it fast. Think of all the

Mothers heating up milk in these "Safe" appliances. What

about the nurse in Canada that warmed up blood for a

transfusion patient and accidentally killed them when the

blood went in dead. But the makers say it's safe. Never mind

then, keep using them. Ask your Doctor I am sure they will

say it's safe too. Proof is in the pictures of living plants dying.

Have you tossed out your microwave oven yet? After you throw out your microwave you can use a toaster

oven as a replacement. It works well for most and is nearly

as quick. The use of artificial microwave transmissions for subliminal

psychological control, a.k.a. "brainwashing", has also been

I suspect much of what I read but also suspect the ability of Snopes editors to evaluate scientific data in an objective manner. This article is probably true but not necessarily precise. One of the reasons why unmicrowaved purified water will work better than microwaved water is if the plain water is chlorinated. Usually the chlorinated water will contain chloramines which do not bubble out of the water. Instead, they are converted into ammonia when microwaved. Ammoniating the water makes it unfit to drink or water plants with. Eventually the asmmonium kills the plant.

 

The other thing not mentioned is that the water molecule may have its structure changed so that it is not readily assimilated by plants or animals. There is a specific angle between the hydrogen atom and the two oxygen atoms. Superheating through the use of microwaves may change this angle and delay the uptake of water into the cells.

My daughter actually did do this experiment in 8th grade and the results were identical to those below.
