Victory over

prostate trouble

 

Yes, I'm a doctor, but I'm a man first.

And like any other man, I dread the thought of developing prostate

problems--and I'm positively petrified of the debilitating and embarrassing

side effects of prostate surgery (more on this in minute). So you can imagine

the mix of emotions I was feeling when my own prostate ballooned to

" critical mass " after a botched hernia operation...

 

You can also imagine my reaction when the hospital's doctors told me I had

only one choice: The knife.

 

But I'm here to tell you: There's never only one choice.

 

Like anybody should when someone comes at

you with a knife, I ran the other way!

 

Needless to say, when I heard the word " surgery, " I sought a

qualified second opinion--from a urologist whose approach to medicine and

healing were a bit closer to my own natural philosophy.

 

Unlike the hospital's butchers, er, doctors,

this urologist told me to keep taking natural substances like saw palmetto to

help reduce my prostate's swelling (mainstream docs may scoff, but stacks of

research shows it really does work). He also recommended that I undertake a

6-week regimen of simple daily procedures designed to " rest " my

prostate and bladder, giving them time to recover from their trauma...

 

And guess what? It worked.

After less than 2 months, my prostate was perfectly healthy and I was

urinating like a racehorse--without a single incision.

 

But if I hadn't known there were safe alternatives--or known what really

happens to victims of prostate surgery--I'd have gone under the knife (as so

many thousands do).

 

What causes more needless prostate prunings than anything else? That

worthless mainstream mainstay, the PSA test!

 

Why is the medical establishment so militantly hack-and-slash in its approach

to prostate trouble? Because of the association between prostate enlargement

and cancer. While it's true that cancerous tumors often cause the prostate to

swell (but it's not always cancer--in fact it's not even usually cancer), the problem is this:

The test the mainstream relies on to detect cancer--the PSA

(prostate-specific antigen) screening--is horribly

unreliable.

 

Consider the following, from studies I've written about in the past:

 

Biopsies

in approximately 70% of cases in which PSA levels were 4 times the

widely accepted " cancer " threshold came back negative for prostate cancer!

In more

than 50% of men with an elevated PSA test result, subsequent screening

showed levels had returned to " normal " (whatever that means)

The PSA

test's inventor even claims it's overused, according to a 2004 Reuters

Health article.

 

Bottom

line: The PSA test leads to both the over-diagnosis and over-treatment of

prostate cancer in American men. An even bigger point to keep in mind is

this: Most men with the disease will die

of other causes before their tumors will advance enough to require

treatment.

 

But these facts don't stop mainstream doctors from convincing thousands of

men each year to submit to debilitating, manhood-robbing prostate butchery.

This is just one example of how

the medical mainstream's " junk medicine " is forcing us into making

the wrong choices for our health.
