Their meeting,entitled “Can Geoengineering Save Us from Global Warming?†is where we take our stand. Here are the facts:Scientists admit that using sulfur and other pollutants to reflect sunlight and cool the planet would have devestating affects on our planet. To allow them to proceed means that they have chosen THE LEAST EXPENSIVE way to cool the planet instead of taking the path to protect OUR CHILDREN's FUTURE. Clearly, the "powers that be" are willing to sacrifice a guaranteed loss of global LIFE so that humanity can continue with our status quo of fossil fuel use, resource extraction (deforestation, ocean "harvesting" etc) manufacturing and consumer driven economies. Without your intervention, Scientists plan to begin global experimentation this year and will ramp up to a full miles high layer of reflective pollutants to cool the planet by 2020. They say, that at THAT point, stopping the program would bring an abrupt increase of global temperatures that would be impossible to control. Many scientists who disagree with this madness have stated that temperatures would then be much higher and climate catastrophes would be far worse than if this program were to never be started. FOR THIS REASON, geoengineering scientists state that the "experiment" would need to continue for hundreds of years.
