Fantastic Fudge - (Off Topic) [1 Attachment]

 

Fantastic Fudge

 

3 Cups of C & H Sugar

3\4 cup = 1 1\2 sticks of butter, make sure it is real butter not margarine

1 small 5oz can of evaporated milk about 2\3 cup

1 1\2 packages of Bakers semi-sweet baking chocolate about 12 squares, (or you can use butter scotch chips for caramel fudge in place of the chocolate).

1 jar 7oz of marshmallow creame

1 Tsp of vanilla

Optional 1 Cup of chopped walnuts

 

First line a 3”square pan with foil, with end of foil over the edges, set aside.

 

Put sugar, butter and evaporated milk in heavy large saucepan bring to a full rolling boil on med heat, stirring constantly, boil for 4 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 234 Deg. F

 

Stir constantly to prevent scorching

 

Add chocolate OR Butter scotch chips

 

Add marshmallow creame, stir until all is complete melted

 

Add Vanilla and nuts if you want nuts. Blend in

 

Pour immediately into the prepared pan

 

Cool at room temp, once it is cold you can cut into squares.

 

Store in tightly covered container at room temp.

 

Makes about 3 pounds.
