Hi Friends,

 

I’m so touched at this time of the

year with a spirit of gratitude and wonder as we celebrate the birth of Jesus

-- the only man who ever walked the earth, who claimed to be the Son of God.

And not only has He claimed to be The Son of God, and thus equal with

God, He is also the ONLY one who has ever claimed to be the ONLY means by which

we can achieve salvation. No one, according to Jesus, comes to the Father

in Heaven except by Jesus’ sacrifice. No other man or prophet of

any religion has ever made such a claim.

 

So what are we to make of this? Is

He, as many believe, just another prophet in a long line of prophets who have

come to show us a good way to live? Was he a crazy person, ranting and

raving? Was he a liar and a deceiver? Yet his words were confirmed

by many miracles. But what other choices are there? Either He is

who He says He is… or He was crazy…or He was a liar.

 

Could it actually be…? Is He,

as He claims, God incarnate, come to earth to be a sacrifice for our sins?

 

If you want to know exactly what He has

said about Himself, the Gospel of John is written almost entirely in quotes

from Jesus own words.

 

What will you decide about this man

called Jesus?

 

As you celebrate the holidays, whether

it’s Hanukah, Kwanza, the Winter Solstice,

Christmas or something else, I wish you love and peace and joy. God bless
