Guest guest
A friend of mine had the largest varicose veins I have ever seen and bad leg pain. She started taking grapeseed oil (virgin-organic) a tablespoon full a day, and it was amazing how it worked on her. The first thing that she noticed was the pain went and then the veins began getting smaller. Zo >I usually lurk in the background reading and learning from all the posts on >this list. Love it all!! Guest guest
Jan Jenson <vizual Put some nice non-toxic lotion in your hand and add 2-3 drops grapefruit EO and/or lemon EO and rub on the varicose vein...! Itworks amazingly well and FAST. I had a ruptured vein below my knee several years ago and taped 1/4 grapefruit skin (white side against the skin) on for about 4 hours. When I took off the grapefruit skin you couldn't even tell where the massively swelled up vein was...! Guest guest
Don't forget the humble art of Reflexology! I met a man whose wife had serious varicose veins while seh was pregnant with twins. He did her feet daily and they went away even before the delivery. Guest guest
Hi Yehuda, I would recommend a tincture of Horse Chestnut, Red Root, Huai nui xi, dan shen, and Arnica, at a 2:3:2:3:1 ratio (in the order given above) 30-60 drops tid. If this bothers her stomach, which is possible, reduce the does or add some gancao 0.5-1 part. Although horse chestnut is not in my book, the other two western herbs are, horse chestnut is used in Chinese medicine (æ¶ÂÞ×Ó suo luo zi) Aesculus chinensis and A. wilsonii) to " loosen the center, " " rectify qi, " " kill worms, " for stomach pain due to cold, distention in the stomach duct and abdomen that likes pressure, childhood disease caused by worms with pain, malaria, and dysentery, among other things. (From ÖÐÒ½´ó´Çµä zhong yi da ci dian page 1961) Good luck, Thomas Beijing, China Author of Western Herbs According to Traditional : A Practitioners Guide www.sourcepointherbs.org Sorry this site is in desperate need of remodeling, but I can not view it from here, so I have not been able to up-date it. Guest guest
Thomas,  Would this tincture to be taken internally and applied locally as well?  --- On Wed, 7/2/08, wrote: Re:Varicose veins Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 2:14 PM Hi Yehuda, I would recommend a tincture of Horse Chestnut, Red Root, Huai nui xi, dan shen, and Arnica, at a 2:3:2:3:1 ratio (in the order given above) 30-60 drops tid. Guest guest
Hi Yehuda, Sorry for the delay....I have been in the Sierra enjoying the botanical wonders that never cease to amaze me...more Aconite than I have ever seen in one place...glorious... That preparation in for internal use...however...it could be prepared as a cream and used externally as well....I don't generally use tinctures straight externally except in " knocks and falls " aka blunt force trauma. thomas > Thomas, >  > Would this tincture to be taken internally and applied locally as well? > > >
Guest guest
I just learned this recipe from a very reliable source. I am going to try it. I’ve been taking Dios Vein which I buy from www.Swansonvitamins.com and it certainly helped, but it didn’t clear them up completely. This seems easy enough to do and if you like lemon flavored drinks it will be tasty too. Jan For Varicose Veins: Purchase lemons and strawberries. SCRUB lemons in vinegar water with vegetable brush or toothbrush to be sure to remove ALL pesticides and foreign matter. Once they are clean, you can freeze them or use them immediately. If frozen, you won’t have to add ice to the drink below. Make a Lemon smoothie: Blend at HIGH speed to liquefy rind and seeds: 1 lemon, including rind and seeds as these contain the active chemical ingredients Several strawberries Juice from any fruit or vegetable to make it sweeter. Make sure the juice does not contain high frutose or corn syrup. Or use some sugar or honey to taste. Add ice to blender, after it is all thoroughly liquefied. Blend to make a smoothie. Drink all of it once a day for two weeks. Then occasionally, every few days until satisfied with results. This also works for gall bladder attacks.
