Video: UFO Activity Continues Over Tepexpan, MS, Mexico Burma's Junta Leader Orders Spirit Statue Handcuffed Each Night Recent Bigfoot Encounter - Eastern Ohio Posted: 23 Nov 2009 11:25 AM PSTI'm sharing my experience only because I need some confirmation of what I witnessed.I live in a rural section of eastern Ohio. I've lived in this house all my life and have never seen anything strange or unusual. I'm very familiar with the local wild life, in fact, I can distinguish an animal just by hearing how it walks and the noise it makes. This includes deer, coyote, and other smaller species. But, the last couple of months, strange things have been happening.Early in October of this year, my sister and I (who lives next too me in the same yard) arrived home from a friend's house. We got out of the car and heard strange knocking noises in the woods. After a few minutes, we heard a very strange grunting and coughing. The coughing was rough and low pitched. I contend that no human could re-create that noise. I went in my house upset from what I heard.A few nights later, I decided to walk over to my sister's house. My porch light was on and so was her's which lite up the road somewhat. I started walking across the yard when suddenly I saw a tall, strongly built black figure standing on the road. I'm positive it was not my shadow since it was shaped differently. This 'thing' started to move forward and run...I also moved towards it to get a better look. I got to the beginning of my sister's driveway. This creature was standing at the end of the driveway looking at me, its eyes glowing. It had to be well over six feet tall and was slouching forward a bit. When it ran it sounded like bare feet slapping concrete.Over the next few weeks, I would continue to hear knocking, grunts and growls. I had a rock thrown at me as well. It was a small rock and it was dark so I couldn't find it. I decided to be brave and sit out one night. I grabbed a piece of chopped wood and hit it against a tree. Well, I got a response back. I did this for a couple of weeks, then it suddenly stopped.Never has a Bigfoot been seen in this area. There have been sightings in the surrounding counties, but not here. I heard they can migrate...is this true? Was this a Bigfoot? I think it was. Also, I haven't heard any coyotes since the encounter. Maybe they migrate? Could someone clear this up for me?NOTE: this inquiry (which I cleaned up somewhat) was posted at ATS and another discussion thread. Frankly, eastern Ohio has been a hotbed of Bigfoot activity especially in the area of Salt Fork State Park located in rural Guernsey County, Ohio. The descriptions in the inquiry are classic Bigfoot signs, especially the 'wood knocking' and rock throwing which I have personally witnessed during my investigations here in Maryland and elsewhere. I believe some Bigfoot may migrate, but what distance and when? Interesting experience...I'd like to see a followup to this...Lon Growing Meat Without Animals...It's What's For Dinner! Posted: 23 Nov 2009 10:17 AM PSTmsnbc - Winston Churchill once predicted that it would be possible to grow chicken breasts and wings more efficiently without having to keep an actual chicken. And in fact scientists have since figured out how to grow tiny nuggets of lab meat and say it will one day be possible to produce steaks in vats, sans any livestock.Pork chops or burgers cultivated in labs could eliminate contamination problems that regularly generate headlines these days, as well as address environmental concerns that come with industrial livestock farms. However, such research opens up strange and perhaps even disturbing possibilities once considered only the realm of science fiction. After all, who knows what kind of meat people might want to grow to eat?Advantages toutedIncreasingly, bioengineers are growing nerve, heart and other tissues in labs. Recently, scientists even reported developing artificial penis tissue in rabbits. Although such research is meant to help treat patients, biomedical engineer Mark Post at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and his colleagues suggest it could also help feed the rising demand for meat worldwide. The researchers noted that growing skeletal muscle in labs — the kind people typically think of as the meat they eat — could help tackle a number of problems:* Avoiding animal suffering by reducing the farming and killing of livestock.* Dramatically cutting down on food-borne ailments such as mad cow disease and salmonella or germs such as swine flu, by monitoring the growth of meat in labs.* Livestock currently take up 70 percent of all agricultural land, corresponding to 30 percent of the world's land surface, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. Labs would presumably require much less space.* Livestock generate 18 percent of greenhouse gas emissions, more than all of the vehicles on Earth, the FAO added. Since the animals themselves are mostly responsible for these gases, reducing livestock numbers could help alleviate global warming. Need to scale upStem cells are considered the most promising source for such meat, retaining as they do the capacity to transform into the required tissues, and the scientists pointed to satellite cells, which are the natural muscle stem cells responsible for regeneration and repair in adults. Embryonic stem cells could also be used, but they are obviously plagued by ethical concerns, and they could grow into tissues besides the desired muscles. To grow meat in labs from satellite cells, the researchers suggested current tissue-engineering techniques, where stem cells are often embedded in synthetic three-dimensional biodegradable matrixes that can present the chemical and physical environments that cells need to develop properly. Other key factors would involve electrically stimulating and mechanically stretching the muscles to exercise them, helping them mature properly, and perhaps growing other cells alongside the satellite cells to provide necessary molecular cues.So far past scientists have grown only small nuggets of skeletal muscle, about half the size of a thumbnail. Such tidbits could be used in sauces or pizzas, Post and colleagues explained recently in the online edition of the journal Trends in Food Science & Technology, but creating a steak would demand larger-scale production.Dark thoughtsThe expectation is that if such meat is ever made, scientists will opt for beef, pork, chicken or fish. However, science fiction has long toyed with the darker possibilities that cloned meat presents. In Warren Ellis and Darick Robertson's epic sci-fi satire "Transmetropolitan," supermarkets and fast food joints sell dolphin, manatee, whale, baby seal, monkey and reindeer, while the Long Pig franchise sells "cloned human meat at prices you like.""In principle, we could harvest the meat progenitor cells from fresh human cadavers and grow meat from them," Post said. "Once taken out of its disease and animalistic, cannibalistic context — you are not killing fellow citizens for it, they are already dead — there is no reason why not."Of course, there are many potential objections that people could have to growing beef, chicken or pork in the lab, much less more disturbing meats. Still, Post suggests that marketing could overcome such hurdles."If every package of naturally grown meat by law should have the text, 'Beware, animals have been killed for this product,' I can imagine a gradual cultural shift," Post said. "Of course, we still have a long way to go to make a product that is even remotely competitive with current products."NOTE: let's see...meat substitute = mystery meat. BTW, what is REALLY in Spam? If you have never seen the film 'Soylent Green', watch it...Lon Video: UFO Activity Continues Over Tepexpan, MS, Mexico Posted: 23 Nov 2009 09:42 AM PSTClick for videoanaluisacid - Testimony of Víctor González (translation) - Monday 9 of November I observed a very rare brightness among the clouds, later I perceived that the light emanated from an object that moved slowly in the sky. This passed over when I went walking bound for my son's school (to collect him). Then I carried the boy to the house of my mother-in-law, like I do every day, and I returned to the workshop. Already they had passed for 30 minutes and the object was still in sight. Then I notified my father so that removed the telescope. Thus I recorded it, to the 14:30 hours, adjusting to the telescope a camera of video of 40x optic zoom. Time lasted long, from 2 to 3 in the afternoon, until it advanced to the northeast to southeast. Is curious, but the sighting of last week was also in the same time period. (referring to the sighting posted below)______________________Video: 'Day of the Dead' UFO - Tepexpan, MS, MexicoClick for videoStatement from witness (somewhat translated): analuisacid - November 2, 2009 - upon arriving at my mechanical workshop, I noticed a red pellet in the sky. I wanted to see it with the binoculars, but it was very high. When I left to eat I observed that continued in the same place. I spoke my father and thus I obtained three parts of video, at 2 o'clock p.m.It was surprising when it expelled a silver-plated sphere, that moved slowly. This I could record no longer it because the memory was full. In the telescope the images are inverted, so the red small ball was down, and it left the other smaller there. Thought that is something rare, a UFO, since a globe - or any other thing? it does not remain static per prolonged time. Altogether it lasted like 5 hours, until it went in the direction of volcanos.NOTE: the translation leaves a lot to be desired but I think you can get an idea what went on. This UFO / OVNI was seen during the "Day of the Dead" so that added some mystique to the sighting. This may very well be man-made though, it seems to have been at a very high altitude and wasn't affected by winds...Lon______________________Originally posted 11/27/07UFO Reappears Over Tepexpan, MexicoA luminous, multicolored object was recorded by Mr. Victor Gabriel Gonzalez over the town of Tepexpan (State of Mexico). The sighting took place on November 26, 2007 at 11:30 a.m.The witness says that he was outside his workshop engaged in car repairs when he saw a flash in the sky toward the west. He realized that the glow came from a static object in the sky, so it gave him time to get his Sony 108 Mini-DVD camera ready."When I started recording," says González, "the UFO began to move slowly. It flew over the electric lines and then remained static at another point toward the east. It was at that time that I switched camera modes to take some photos. For that reason I have both video and photos, estimating that the sighting had a duration of 10 minutes.""I stopped seeing the object because it literally dissolved into the sky. It became progressively weaker, although it returned to the same place half and hour later. It should be noted that I had already seen it and videotaped on an earlier occasion, but the best images I've taken are the ones from today. I found out that there was a strong tremor in Mexico City, and without saying that there's a connection between both events, they would appear to coincide." Burma's Junta Leader Orders Spirit Statue Handcuffed Each Night Posted: 23 Nov 2009 09:04 AM PSTirrawaddy - A handcuffed statue of a revered woman who exists only in Burma’s spirit world is at the center of debate and speculation among even the country’s intellectual elite.“It is very interesting and mysterious story,” said Khin Maung Kyi, a writer on cultural affairs. He and an increasing number of others interested in occult practices in Burma are following the story of a statue in Rangoon’s Bo Ta Htaung Pagoda which is handcuffed every night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.“It is a sign of superstition,” said Khin Maung Kyi. “So we need to watch and observe it.”The statue is of a prominent nat, or spirit, named Mya Nan Nwe and revered for the good deeds she is said to perform in the name of Buddhism. It is believed that she can transform herself into a beautiful girl and that she is the guardian of a treasure trove that she uses to build pagodas and other religious buildings.Mya Nan Nwe is also known as Thike Nan Shin (a guardian spirit) and Amadaw (royal elder sister). All three names inspire reverence among a large number of devotees—Mee Mee, a university student, is a typical follower who visits the statue whenever she needs solace. So why are the hands of Mya Nan Nwe’s statue, draped in green robes, handcuffed every night? Speculation is rife, but the most popular rumor says that the statue—and perhaps another one at a second Rangoon pagoda—is handcuffed on the orders of junta leader Snr-Gen Than Shwe.Mya Nan Nwe is said to have appeared in her green robes before Than Shwe in his sleep and to have warned him of the bad consequences of his suppression of the Burmese people and of the country’s monks.Ye Aung, an astrologer in Upper Burma, said Than Shwe could be linking Mya Nan Nwe with pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi—“So handcuffing the statue might be intended to suppress Suu Kyi and perhaps bring misfortune to her.”Snr-Gen Than Shwe and many members of the ruling military are deeply superstitious and rely on astrologers and other soothsayers to advise them. Than Shwe is known to seek the advice of astrologers when making major policy decisions, and his wife Kyaing Kyaing is reputedly even more superstitious and a long-time believer in nats. She and her husband, and many other members of the military elite, also indulge in yadaya, a kind of voodoo said to ward off ill-fortune, and are said to have employed its rituals in an occult bid to suppress the influence of Suu Kyi.Kyaing Kyaing is said to have been told by an astrologer in the 1980s that her husband would one day head the government. The astrologer, a monk, also told Kyaing Kyaing that her husband had been a king in his past life. After the first prediction came true, Than Shwe became interested in astrology and yadaya and began to seek the advice of astrologers and soothsayers—including Rangoon’s most famous fortune-teller, ET (also known as E Thi).In October, the All Burma Monks Alliance excommunicated Than Shwe, naming him “Mecchadhtti,” meaning a man who is ignorant with no idea about religion.A monk at the International Theravada Buddhist University in Rangoon said Than Shwe and other members of the junta “are very superstitious and all their ideas and decisions disillusioned. According to Buddha’s Dhamma, bad people see only bad omens and their minds are always insecure and they do only misdeeds.”********************Are you interested in the paranormal, cryptozoology, UFOs and conspiracies?
