The website of the People's United Community is on the posters, which say swine flu is a hoax and the vaccine could kill. The group said it believes the vaccine suppresses the immune system. The first vaccinations in the UK have begun with health workers, seriously ill patients, the elderly and children treated as priorities. 'Create fear'But Dr Rashmi Shukla, regional director of public health, said the posters would cause alarm. "I would urge them to stop doing this on the basis that this is not accurate information and they are maybe causing considerable alarm to people who need protection from swine flu," she said. Sir Liam told BBC News that it was a tactic designed to "create fear and spread confusion" and could undermine peoples' confidence in the NHS. "It could indeed lead to the loss of life of vulnerable people, particularly if children were not to get the vaccine," he said. No one from the group has made any comment about putting the posters up. On their website, the organisation said it seeks "only to show people actual, factual information about the world around them." In the West Midlands 15 people have died while suffering from swine flu.
