I too have been coughing for a few weeks. Have also had sinus drainage, very

low energy, comes and goes. Sometimes it's hard to walk out to do chores. My

daughter got this too. She is 26 and works here on the farm place. She had it

much worse with fever, vomiting and diarrhea. I continued to work out. I

suspect stress is keeping me from receovering like I normally would. Since I

work away from home (healthcare) I often don't take care of myself like I

should. My daughter swears by raw garlic cloves several times a day, colloidial

silver 3x day (gargle and swallow), 1000mg vit C 3x day, and homemade turkey

soup twice day at least. She was slow to get over it but much quicker than I.

Hope this helps. N

Many years ago my daughter coughed for 45 minutes. I usually keep natural cure books handy. and in one i found the easiest and fastest cure. It was give warm water with a little salt in it. Salt had to be to tasts not more or less. She stopped coughing immediately after giving her this.and it also said that taking such water five six times a day will give relief from cough the quantity was less than half a cup. It also said that if you give this the last thing in the night the patient will sleep through without getting disturbed at night. All three daughters of mine were suffering from cough and at night it was worst. They slept peacefully the very first day i gave them this water.

I have heard that putting vicks vaporub on the bottom of your feet will stop the coughing. Worth giving a try?

Catherine,

I agree with you, for the most part, but it has been over three weeks with no real improvement. There are things that I just have to do, and having coughing fits during or after is just not working well for me. I can't go approx. 300 feet to let my chickens out and in, can't shop (grocery), can't even do the teacher conferences for my kids, can't clean my house properly. I know, the cleaning can wait, my house is not yelling at me, but with kids coming and going, I NEED to do something... their job does not cut it.

Just as seems to be improving, I will wake up short of breath and coughing like crazy. I have also been very worn out just by doing something minor. The only good thing is that I do not cough in my sleep---to my knowledge. All I can say is that I hope my homeopathic doc is back tomorrow, otherwise, I may have to break down and go to the regular doc. A friend thinks I may have developed walking pneumonia, but I think I just have breathing/coughing issues. Tuesday I have to be out of town all day for my kids district skeet tournament, and if it remains like this, I will be miserable. I can't back out as I am also a score keeper.
