Guest guest
I am and so is my husband, insulin resistant type II diabetics. We both have full control of our blood sugar levels, with morning A1c's and three monthly blood tests in the 'normal' range..... much to the chagrin of both the diabetes educators and our GP's................ without medications. We have done quite a bit of reading regarding what is known as the dawn phenomenon (feh-NAH-meh-nun): the early-morning (4 a.m. to 8 a.m.) rise in blood glucose level. This might be what causes you to consistently awaken in the wee small hours for no apparent reason....... Google has some links you could follow: http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en & q=dawn+phenomenon & btnG=Search & meta= & aq=null & oq=blood+sugar+rise+wakes+me Also another valuable resource is Dr. Bernstein Dr. Bernstein Diabetes Solution is a good book for those wishing to get a better control of this disease. and Google also has this informationhttp://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en & q=dawn+phenomenon+bernstein & meta= & aq=f & oq= Hope this maybe of help Clare
