Guest guest
YOU ARE INVITED! The Celebration of the Wonderful Life of Don Harkins will be Saturday, Sept 26 at Jewel Lake Barn from 12 noon to 5 PM. James Stivers has volunteered to lead us in prayer and remembrance of our duty to God and Country while reminding us to take to our hearts the inspiration that Don's life has been for all of us. There will be a sign up sheet for people to speak (5 min.) about Don Harkins. We will " break bread " together at 2:30 PM and then resume sharing. It will be a potluck since it is harvest time and Don appreciated quality cooking with home grown ingredients. Angelo Martini has generously offered to provide the " meat " so salads, bread, desserts, grain/potato/bean dishes would be most appropriate. We are also requesting that people bring their own service (plates, silverware, glasses) since Don also was/is horrified by the waste our country produces and wants to encourage us all to walk more lightly on our home planet - giving back to the earth caretaking energy rather than the rape/pillage energy we frequently encounter today. Thank you in advance for your willingness to honor Don with your presence, food gifts, and loving spirit. Chris Hinkley has generously created a website for help in funding Don's Recovery due to our lack of medical insurance. <http://www.DonHarkinsRecovery.org>www.DonHarkinsRecovery.org is up and running and will also be available as <http://www.DonHarkinsmemorial.org>www.DonHarkins.org What to do If you are not able to make it to Saturday's Celebration, you can post an " In Memory of Don Harkins " at the above website(s) after registering and logging in.
