Guest guest
I am looking for a multi vitamin for my mom (79). She has always said she was allergic to iodine. This is topical iodine. No idea about taking it internally. Most of the vitamins I looked at which also had minerals have iodine in them. Some had .15 mg and others 4 mg, I think. When Mom had a CT scan, they asked about sensitivity to iodine, shellfish etc. They were unsure whether to give her the scan due to the iodine allergy. We asked her for further info. She said her face swelled up and she couldn't breathe when iodine was put on by a teacher when she was about 6. She had also had a reaction when an aunt had used it when she was even younger. Lab said that if she had that severe a reaction topically, it would be even worse internally. They discussed with someone and decided to go ahead. She had no adverse reaction.Do you think that taking a multi vitamin with iodine in it would be a problem? She doesn't eat the best and I am having a difficult time getting her to eat the fresh fruits and vegetables my sister and I have stocked for her. I ask what she needs but she does not eat the good stuff. Thanks,Kadee Be smarter than spam.
