Guest guest
http://www.whitehouse.gov/realitycheck I got this email address off one of the talk shows, and still have not heard all of it. In my town 20 mi. away Lynn Woolsy held a town Hall Meeting, the Repukes were out as usual doing their thing. I am hoping they have another one here in my town I would like to go and speak up. I do not get it people are losing their insurance every day. Yet we have a hand ful of people who are afraid to make a change. I think even the bush bunch admitted we needed something done about Health the problem for them was they could not figure out how to protect the Special Interests and also help the people, so they did nothing. The single payer health care plan is no more socialism than the police or fire departments or schools or airports or highways or libraries or Medicare or Social Security. In a same meeting fighting reform the agitators lay claim to their Medicare like it is their life, and I guess it is. Countries that care about their people have this insurance, and this is me speaking not the president. It just dawned on me that I am one of the people in trouble. I have a headache I get up with every morning , a little blood pressure concern, and close to diabetes, and a bit high Cholesterol. Sounds to me like I am in trouble with the so called pre existing symptoms. Oh yes back there I forgot to mention Neuropathy in my feet. In other wards I am not going to get help under our existing situation. I want President Obamas Health plan. All the Repubs can think about is Obama fixes things that we need fixed, they are going to never get back in office. People are going to be so thankful they will be afraid to let a Republican in office, look at the financial mess we have. And again, this was done way before Obama even had his name in the race. sharon Listen to the video above
Guest guest
> My son lives in Washington state. He was injured in a car wreck when a 17 year old girl slammed into the back of his car while he was waiting for a red light to change. He had liability insurance but no personal injury insurance. She only had $30,000. The lawyer took $14,000, he paid $4,000 of the $l7,000 doctor bills, and he had to go bankrupt for the rest of it. He has no income, I am his sole support. He has applied to all of the Washington state health programs that are supposed to be free and all of them tell him they are NOT taking any new patients. He is constant pain and there is no doctor that will treat him because he has no money and no insurance. How can a National Health Plan be detrimental to people like him? He needs help, he needs medication and treatment and cannot get any. I am on a fixed income, but helpp him as much as I can. We can not get help for him. Where are we to turn to? He has even thought of committing a crime so he can go to jail and get free medical help. Guest guest
Move to England. All you need is your name and an address. They don't ask you if you work, how much you make, nothing. Name and address and they take care of you. At least that was my personal experience when I lived there for one year 17 years ago. Excellent health care. I had a choice between delivering my baby with the U.S. Air Force base doctor or locally in Oxford where I lived. The American OB GYN was very good but the british hospital was 10 min from my home so I chose the latter. No copayments, nothing. Also free dental care during the pregnancy and one year after giving birth. I hope I don't get misunderstood. I don't say "move to England" as in "if you don't like it here move." I am just sharing my experience with the british National Health Care system. If education is free (at least for 12 years) for everyone, why can't healthcare be the same? Just a thought. Guest guest
I agree with you. I am on Medicare and it works. The greedy insurance companies over here don't want the general public to have national health care. They wouldn't be able to make their obscene profits. Move to England. Guest guest
Have you tried getting him insurance under a program called "Basic Health"? This may be for adults only, but Washington also has free or minimal cost insurance for kids. Call his local welfare office - they know about these programs. ~Amber My son lives in Washington state.
