US Seizes All Of Its Citizens Computers, Says They Now Belong To Federal System

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers

In a move that can only be described as shocking, the United States has today

moved to take control over every single computer system in their country without

their own citizens even being aware of what is happening,

Russian legal experts state that the insidious actions of the United States

against their own people is “worthy of even the most devout Communist” as the

American government  has employed a method of seizing their citizens computers

that is so Orwellian, even the most hardened of persons should be chilled to

their very bones.

To the exact method being employed to capture their citizens computer systems,

the United States this past week introduced what they are calling a “Cash for

Clunkers” automobile programme that allows Americans to trade in their

out-of-date cars for new ones subsidized by their government in an amount up to

$4,500.

In order for the American people to ascertain if they are eligible for this

“Cash for Clunker” programme they must first go to the US government website

Cars.Gov, and where in the “small print” they are informed:

This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the

CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal Computer system and is the

property of the US Government.

Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be intercepted,

monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized

CARS, DoT, and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of

other agencies, both domestic and foreign.

Russian legal experts further point out that even though the language being

employed by the US government in seizing their citizens computers appears to

limit its “ownership” to only that time period when the Federal application is

being used, nothing could be further from the truth as under what is known as

the Uniform Commercial Code

(UCC), once the United States Government becomes the owner of anything it

retains that ownership forever.

Note: The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC or the Code), first published in

1952, is one of a number of uniform acts that have been promulgated in

conjunction with efforts to harmonize the law of sales and other commercial

transactions in all 50 states within the United States of America.

Russian legal experts also point out that in seizing their citizens computers,

all information on these computers become the property of the United States

government too.

And, if this isn’t shocking enough, the United States government openly states

that the information they are seizing from their citizens computers will be

freely given to foreign Nations in a move unprecedented in violating the human

and privacy rights of the American people.

Most disturbing about this shocking new development in the United States is that

its propaganda news media is failing to warn the American people about this

gross injustice to their freedoms, leading one to openly wonder how entrenched

they are in the conspiracy to take away all of the freedoms and rights these

once great peoples took for granted.

But, even without their propaganda news media telling them the truth, the

American people can never say they weren’t warned about the police state their

Nation is becoming, as in his famous book “1984”, George Orwell did exactly that

by stating:

“Day by day and almost minute by minute the past was brought up to date. In this

way every prediction made by the Party could be shown by documentary evidence to

have been correct; nor was any item of news, or any expression of opinion, which

conflicted with the needs of the moment, ever allowed to remain on record. All

history was a palimpsest, scraped clean and reinscribed exactly as often as was

necessary.”

Upon the outbreak of hostilities against Britain by the American

Revolutionaries, the Great Patriot, who became the first US President, George

Washington said, “The time is near at hand which must determine whether

Americans are to be free men or slaves.”

Today, as the United States sinks into the abyss of totalitarian rule that will

see its citizens enslaved forever, one can rightfully envision tears flowing

down the face of George Washington should he have seen how far these American

people have fallen.

Cash for Clunkers

Claim: Users of the "Cash for Clunkers" web site must agree that their computers become U.S. government property.

FALSE

Example: [Collected via e-mail, July 2009]

"DO NOT GO ON CARS.GOV, a disclaimer says by using the site your computer and all of it's files are then property of the government. This means they can look at your computer anytime and if you use a program like Skype they can eaves drop on any call you make. It is like having the government sitting by your side as you use it.

WARNING - DO NOT LOG ON TO CARS.GOV

If you log on to cars.gov and accept the privacy terms, the government now has the right to take all the information on your computer. That will include all your personal information, bank records, transactions, web site log ins, EVERYTHING ON YOUR COMPUTER.

I am not saying the government will take your personal information. I am telling you that accepting the terms will allow them to.

Is this what our government is coming to?"

Origins:

CARS.gov is the web site for the U.S. government's Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS), a program more commonly referred to as "Cash for Clunkers" which provides consumers with $3,500 or $4,500 discounts for their trade-ins when they purchase or lease new vehicles.

In late July 2009, a rumor began spreading that the terms and conditions on the CARS.gov web site specified that by using the site, consumers explicitly agreed that

their computers would be considered U.S. government property.

This false rumor was apparently based on someone's mistaken interpretation of a "Privacy Act & Security Statement" linked from the CARS.gov web site.

However, that statement is actually tied to the "Submit Transaction" function on the Dealer Support portion of the web site and relates to a login page for entry to the Enterprise Services Center (ESC) web site at esc.gov, which is used by automobile dealers (not consumers) who have been authorized and registered to participate in the CARS program.

In short, users visiting the CARS.gov web site do not have to agree that the federal government can take control of their computers, nor will they be asked to grant permission for the government to do so.

Beck conspiracy theory: "Cash for clunkers" site lets Feds control your PC

by Jed Lewison

Sat Aug 01, 2009 at 09:32:03 AM PDT

Before you play the video of Glenn Beck's latest loony-tunes conspiracy theory, keep in mind that it's totally nuts. Here's the key information debunking it:

If you are a consumer visiting cars.gov (the "cash for clunkers" website) the Federal government cannot take control over your computer, nor will it ask permission to do so.

The "Terms of Use" statement to which Beck refers in this clip is not from cars.gov. Rather it is a login page for dealer transactions located at esc.gov.

The only people who can get login credentials for the esc.gov site are dealers who have been screened and registered for the "cash for clunkers" program.

To summarize: the page in question isn't on cars.gov and can only be used by dealers who have already registered. Consumers won't be impacted by any of this.

With that out of the way, enjoy the crazy:

ps. one way to tell honest truth from crazy, honest truth provides the sources so that you can self verify, whereas crazy says "don't check" and "trust me".

AND:

U.S. auto sales jumped to the highest level of 2009 in July as Americans rushed to take advantage of the government's "Cash for Clunkers" program, raising hopes that the battered sector is poised for recovery.

Ford Motor Co's sales rose 2 percent, its first month's gain over the previous year since late 2007 and the first for any of the major automakers in the U.S. market since the financial crisis exploded last fall.

Shares of the No. 2 automaker rose almost 7 percent and stoked gains for shares in auto suppliers.

Automakers credited the runaway success of the U.S. government's $1 billion "Cash for Clunkers" incentive program, allowing people to trade in old cars and trucks, with lifting industry-wide sales back above 11 million units on an annualized basis tracked by analysts.

Government measures in Europe to boost demand also bolstered car sales in that region for July. French sales rose 3 percent, Italian sales gained 6 percent but sales in Spain posted a slower decline.

U.S. auto sales overall, which are watched as one of the earliest indicators of consumer demand, fell 12 percent from a year earlier.

But the sales rate was the highest since September 2008 and marked a sharp increase from the depressed 9.6 million-vehicle sales pace that had held over the first half of the year.

The U.S. government-incentive program, modeled on programs pioneered by European governments, offered consumers taxpayer-funded rebates of up to $4,500 to swap out of older, less fuel-efficient cars.

The program pushed sales sharply higher in the final week of July and exhausted the full $1 billion allocated for it.

The resulting boom also encouraged investor expectations that major automakers will increase production and could even start to raise prices by ending long-established discounts.

"I think this is the greatest one-week stimulus program ever to come out of Washington or anywhere else," said Ford's chief sales analyst George Pipas.

"In the video clip below Glenn Beck pretends to be doing people a favor by telling them to not go to the cars.gov website. Beck solicits the help of a Fox News anchor, Kimberly Guilfoyle, who backs up Beck's opinion to give it the appearance of legitimacy. Beck proceeds to demonstrate what he claims is a way the government website takes over your computer. Finally, Beck reads from a disclaimer on the website that he claims authorizes the government to access all your files.

The Fox News anchor supports Beck by saying that after accessing the website the government can get a hold of all your "informations." In addition, she falsely claims that people going to the website are just trying to make a charitable "donation." Since when did receiving a $4500 credit from the government became a donation?

The truth is of course far removed from the claims of Beck. As the blog Daily Kos outlines, Beck is showing a website that not the cars.gov website but instead another government website which can only be accessed by car dealers who are screened and registered for the CARS program. So it is only dealers who are using the government program that have access to the website. Furthermore, it makes sense that the government have access to the dealer's computer since it is a government program handing out billions of dollars that has the potential for fraud.

Up to this point Glenn Beck's rants and misstatements of fact have only been harmful on a political level. This time if people listen to Beck they may very well not take part in a program that could save them thousands of dollars. So now not only is Beck making people dumber he is also potentially costing them money."
