Guest guest
Let me be blunt on the matter. It is not really about the caffeine or the alcohol. These materials are secondary to the epidemic of " sugar stoned " accelerated aging, and all its attendant " errors in judgment " . No matter whether on the hyperactive high/mania side or on the inert low depressive side, both are spaced out; both are the " new norm " . In popular culture, the addiction cycle & the glycolizing sugar burn have become the new norm, have by now long overtaken any older developmental norms ... or remembrance of maturation or ripening or seeding. The exploration of life as an accumulation at the core of focus, joy or purpose must by now be re-discovered on an individual basis. It is now a private matter. Such a reclamation brings with it the possibility of actual re-membering, activation of limbs unused, a twinge of recovered sensation, recovery from conditioned neuropathies & paresthesias. Limbs that had been frozen now move. Let's each be our own Frankenstein, take some responsibility & get this rig dressed. May we all come to life. Some of these impressions can be astutely guessed by an observer (a la Sherlock Holmes) familiar with the pertinent " pathways " (historically statistical likelihoods). > > We are each composed of our various inhalations & devourings -- determined by locus-trajectory of our particular coordinates across food chain & environment. Our individuality is mapped of these layered exposures, the impression upon each layer typical for that particular time/place exposure. With mobility of each particle, these layered impressions accumulate a sort of moire as if seeing through a series of screens, increasingly individuated & complex. > > These screens are our voyage through frequency octaves I suppose, for those who like to speak that way. > > Simple point being that this sort of generalization is absurd, generally. Consider huge variance from individual to individual in cumulative toxicities & deficiences. These are ascertainable, not subtle at all. Just clinically, by measurement & sign, not mere subjective symptom, swings your point all the way to pointless. If I may say. > > In particular, the botanical you speak of is a helpful material of longstanding use, which in certain contexts & predispositions is neuroprotective and in others, neurotoxic. > > In conclusion, I'd say the entire population is already in a deeply altered state, clearly displaying potential for collective errors in judgment. Not to fear, the worst has already happened. We are already in triage mode, sauve qui peut & if you can help save another, go for it. > > In many older medical traditions, the very essence of disease or injury is " alteration " . We've already been down so long we can only go up. Most people are already so confused that the slightest alteration actually helps to clear the head. Kind of like windshield wipers. & certainly preferable to the cinched up tanked up double martini shot o'brandy or the caffeine or other rush which create the speeding juggernaut we're on with all its approved errors in judgment. Really. Let's not compound our peril with sheer silliness. > > None of us even actually sees the same color " red " as another; it is all about customary language. To assume the same sensorium from individual to individual is a severe confusion between Sense Data and Terminology. > > Sorry for long rumination. > Best wishes to all. > mgw > > , Craig Rawlings <craig@> wrote: > > > > What are you smoking?
