Guest guest
I do not have Reefer madness, I sure do not care who uses the stuff, I would not use it I hate it, usually people who use it are very tired. I think it stinks worse than cigarettes. Has anyone ever seen a bong what ever it is they call them??? I saw one and it had black crusti stuff in the bottom of it. It looked like it was just as contaminated as if it were cigarettes it even looked worse. Truly I refuse to believe that Mary Jane is any less treacherous than cigarettes. Looks like some pretty bad stuff in the bottom of that glass receptacle or what ever it is called. I know that it does not make everyone workless, but I know that my friends grand son has never held a job and he is 25. I have also seen this a lot. maybe just my idea but it look like it is for real to me. Guest guest
We have already condoned the use of other "recreational" drugs, We now have innumerable prescription drugs that are being used frivolously. And now we want MJ? You want MJ to be legal? Legal drugs have been used to the detriment of many socieeties. MJ will be no different.. You want to use MJ? First read its numerous side effects then grow it at home and never leave your home under its influence. I won't complain about it. Keeps the brain alive? Baloney! Guest guest
, Tony De Angelis <tntstuart wrote: > > All the chemicals found in MJ are not normal brain constituents > Actually, this is absolutely incorrect, Tony. Do some research on cannabinoids; specifically endogenous cannabinoids, cannabinoid receptors and the endocannabinoid system, all of which are substances and organs produced in your very own brain that are directly related to the constituents that comprise THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) the psychoactive component in cannabis. Cannabis is one of the most powerful plant medicines in the world and has a long history of use in cultures all over the planet. It was commonly used medicinally in the US up until the early 1940s when it was outlawed, and is currently available by prescription in several countries outside the US. Besides having powerful medicinal properties, cannabis aka hemp, has myriad other uses. Its seeds are a highly nutritious food, rich in omega 3s. The oil derived from the seeds can be used for biofuel, and the plant's strong fibers can be used for many purposes, including animal fodder, paper, rope, fabric, and biodegradable plastics. Hemp grows quickly, requires little in the way of fertilizer, needs no pesticides or herbicides, and generates a massive amount of usable biomass per acre. It's one of the most stupendously renewable resources available on the planet and was one of the first plants ever to be cultivated by people. It's been used by human beings for a variety of purposes all over the world for centuries - until that is, some rich influential bankster types, especially including Randolph Hearst among others, conspired to outlaw it in the US in the late 1930s by creating a smear campaign against hemp because the plant's versatility and usefulness posed a prime threat to their profits from their lumber industry. Evidently the founding fathers, including Washington, Jefferson and Ben Franklin all grew hemp, and it's said that Jefferson even drafted the Declaration of Independence on paper made of hemp. The original Levi blue jeans were made of hemp, and hemp fiber was used to make the sails and ropes that powered some of the first ships that sailed the oceans. Alcohol, tobacco, OTC and prescription pharmaceutical drugs, all of which are legal, cause sickness and death in human beings by the millions. And yet how many people ever got sick or died from pot? There's plenty of information available about the many incredible virtues of this amazing plant. Do check it out. Elan
Guest guest
There is a system in the brain for processing cannabinoids but there are no cannabinoids produced in the human body.. The body has pathways to process many drugs that have some benefit to a specific person under specific circumstances. That is not a reason to make them legal over-the-counter drugs. Ask yourself one question, "Would you feel comfortable driving in heavy traffic at high speeds whith a person high on MJ at the wheel?" I tried driving once while mildly intoxicated via MJ and did not feel comfortable in my own skin. .I felt that I endangered all of those around me and never did it again. --- On Mon, 7/20/09, elan_spire <elan_spire wrote: elan_spire <elan_spire Re: " Their" economy depends on keeping Marijuana illegal Date: Monday, July 20, 2009, 6:23 PM , Tony De Angelis <tntstuart wrote:>> All the chemicals found in MJ are not normal brain constituents >Actually, this is absolutely incorrect, Tony.Do some research on cannabinoids; specifically endogenous cannabinoids, cannabinoid receptors and the endocannabinoid system, all of which are substances and organs produced in your very own brain that are directly related to the constituents that comprise THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) the psychoactive component in cannabis.Cannabis is one of the most powerful plant medicines in the world and has a long history of use in cultures all over the planet. Guest guest
I hereby agree to be peaceful and respectful of everyone's viewpoint, and no personal attacks. I think this subject is very important and vital to health and needs to be discussed under regular debate rules. I understand Tony to be an intelligent and well read person, and I am sure he can defend himself and provide information so confidence can be had in his posts. My first question to Tony.....have 30 (yrs) experience i(n) treating the after-effects of MJ .....can you please give us a couple of case examples of your treating MJ patients, not those that also abused prescription, alcohol or other things. I am curious as I have never, and I really mean NEVER, seen a case of someone who solely uses MJ that needed recovery treatment. I am a semi-retired engineer and nutritionist and do not read the DEA manual because of its propaganda but for its possibilities " Know thine enemy " This is what I learned forty years ago when I was in Army Intelligence. What is your background in counter-intelligence? Why would a semi-retired engineer need to read the DEA manual so you could know your enemy? I don't understand what you are getting at here. ......I practice Orthomolecular Science where we use substances found in the body to heal the body. I have a great respect for all other healing sciences where they do not have a great potential for harm but use them to support otrhomolecular methods only..... I am sitting here next to my Alternative Doctor from Berlin who is visiting me for a couple of weeks, (he cured the pain in my lower abdomen, which I will make a new post about the experience) and we would both like to know more detail about your cell Science. Also, if you have a lot of knowledge about how the cells are used to get better health, then I am doubly surprised that you haven't read all the recent studies about how MJ is the best solution to prevent Alzheimer's. ...Your opinion is obvious and so is mine. MJ is an herb just as peyote was..... This statement is another one that has me asking questions about you sending out mis-information. I know how the big Pharma companies use dis-information, (this is one of my specialties) and this statement is right out of their text book. It is called negative association. To take one thing that people are on the fence about, and tie it to something that everyone knows is really bad. You did the same thing with traffic accidents, and since everyone on this list hates big government, you even make the claim that MJ will just make the government get richer and have more control of us. This is the same tactic, association to something bad so we will all think MJ is bad because you have associated it with the big bad Government. I have to say that if the Gov could make more money and get more control of us by legalizing,MJ it would be fully legal already. The fact is MJ keeps people sane enough to be wary of big Gov, and if it is legal then everyone would grow a few plants and the trade would stop, and they would make NO money. So to dissect this...are you really saying MJ is similar to peyote? Of course not, you carefully just said it was a HERB like peyote, but the negative association is implied, this is one of the clever techniques. Making MJ legal involves more government control and loss of our freedoms and I don't like it. Tell this to the few hundred thousand people who are locked up in prison because they grew a couple of pot plants. Like the 60 year old women in NM, who grew four plants along side here orchids to help relieve her pain, and then spent six years in jail. And you are saying legalizing is more loss of freedom? ......All the chemicals found in MJ are not normal brain constituents and I cannot endorse their regular use..... A few thousand Doctors can easily dispute this, including the one sitting next to me. Sorry if I offend people but I have to call it as I see it. Why don't we put this to a vote?WRONG, it is not a matter of voting, it is a matter of getting educated and trading intelligent ideas. Elan's posts have been very helpful. There are thousands of posts debates on this issue all across the internet. I feel on this site we can get an update of current information. NOT disinformation. Guest guest
I think we should try to clear the air a little here. Marijuana is a natural weed, and is far less harmful when consumed than alcohol or tobacco. It was made illegal first in USA under extremely strange circumstances, firstly by introducing the name marijuana, which no-one except Mexicans had heard of, and then secondly by sliding the legislation through as part of a tax bill, passed by a minimal congress after a midnight session. The promoter of the bill, Andrew Melon, a banker, knew that hemp oil could be used to fuel vehicles, and also knew that Henry Ford was planning for hemp-fuelled engines on his production line. The promoter had recently opened the world's first drive-in petrol station, and his co sponsor, the publisher of Hearsts newspapers, who provided the false stories used as evidence, was also glad to see the end of hemp paper, as he had just invested in numerous forests. So the real reason why the marijuana legislation was, as is most legislation, to do with the greed of a couple of elites, and in fact absolutely nothing at all to do with the consumption of cannabis by humans. Those who support keeping cannabis illegal also support the world's banking fraternity, the oil industry, those who decimate out forests, and also restrict peoples freedom. If you don't want to use cannabis, that's your problem, and if I do want to use it, that's my problem - but it has absolutely nothing to do with you, or any lawmaker. If we on this forum are unable to understand that this kind of restriction is there for a reason, and, after the financial reasons, we discover that the next reason is mood. The powers that be do not want people in a good mood, because then they gain confidence, and begin to fight back against these restrictions, and thus thwart efforts of the New World Order. If you support the new world order, then continue to support marijuana legislation. Guest guest
I have just been going through all the mails on the subject. P want to add my two bit to it: When I was searching for home and herbal remedies for my husband's stroke. Hemp was what I came across. I just did not know where I would find it. Another time i was searching for Alzhiemer's and i came across a blog that said that her grandma was an alzhiemer's case and that her mother blew cannabis cigarrette smoke on the granny's face . She became absolutely normal from then and there. The others were talking of its ills and some were calling it a miracle herb. I think any thing within limits is good for humans but when we overdo it even tea and coffee become addictive.
