Guest guest
What about flax oil? Guest guest
Hi Tony and thanks for writing: What about flax oil? If you are on blood thining drugs they will calcify your blood vessela and maybe the stents unless you take two to four times the amount of magnesium as you take calcium and use vitamin K2 to prevent calcifications. I take no blood thinning drugs prescribed by a doctor. I was taking Q10, Fish Oil, EPO, Hawthorne plus associated herbs such as curcumin and cinnamon. ALL have been stopped. I am just diagnosed high responder to Amines, Salicylates, Glutimates, along with a Latex Allergy, Gluten Intolerance and Casein Intolerance........ issues with chemical fumes, perfume, cigarette smoke, other problems with caffeine, morphine, codeine and associated stuff. It makes it a little more difficult for say my anesethist when I go for surgery in a few weeks, as many of their usual pain killers and knock out stuffs I am allergic to. This diagnosis has taken many years to arrive at (8 and a bit I think) and was reached after undertaking the RPAH - Sydney, elimination diet, under the care of a registered dietitian, an interested gastroenterologist and my GP who has an interest in alternative medicine. Amines in fish etc are causing me breathing problems, mouth blistering problems and gut related issues amongst other things. Salicylates and other natural food chemicals have also been shown to affect me badly. I want to ensure that I am eating nutritionally - extremely difficult considering the limited foods I can tolerate. This is also a problem with herbals, oils and supplements. Hence the question in the first place. Cheer's from Clare in T
Guest guest
From what you say I can't understand why coQ10 would be stopped or why you are not taking vitamin C and digestive enzymes.. Sensitivity to fumes/odors is frequently associated with a molybdenum deficiency. You need to follow doctor's orders since surgery is so close to the present time, but I think you should eventually do a hair tissue analysis via a reputable lab such as Trace Elements in Texas to check mineral status. Remember Linus Pauling? If not, look him up, or I will send a short bio of his life. His final conclusion regarding chronic health conditions was that they are all manifestations of mineral deficiencies. Mineral deficiencies are frequently the result of low stomach acid production and/or pancreatic insufficiencies if the diet is adequate. I will pray that your surgery is sucessful and that you enjoy your life after it. Hi Tony and thanks for writing: What about flax oil? Guest guest
Just to answer a few questions Tony: The reason the medication/supplements were stopped such as Q10 and Vitamin C would relate to their fillers and additives I can take PURE Vitamin C and Pure Q10 I just have to source them, when I am allowed to trial them again. So far I have added back in a reverse Magnesium/calcium with zinc and Vitamin D; a 5000IU vitamin D which seems to be ok, a multi vitamin which is approved. Digestive enzymes often times contain things such as Bromelain from pineapples, - Papain- from pawpaw fruit (pawpaw). and other fruit extracts..... all of these fruit extract/enzymes are high in salicylates and I react badly to them. If anyone is curios as to the elimination and process here are a couple of links. This is NOT a food allergy The only allergy I have is to LATEX http://www.plantpoisonsandrottenstuff.info/ http://www.cs.nsw.gov.au/rpa/allergy/resources/foodintol/ffintro.cfm http://www.fedupwithfoodadditives.info/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_intolerance From what you say I can't understand why coQ10 would be stopped or why you are not taking vitamin C and digestive enzymes.. There is nothing to not believe him as these pranayaams only oxygenate you and the physical excercises are only stretches. Guest guest
For non-fish omega's the best is organic chia seed. Constitutional homeopathy can help with more the underlying issues, and the right yoga and meditation are also very effective. Guest guest
Liz et all I thank you for all your suggestions. I looked into Chia ?Salba seed and found the seed contains myricetin, (a biogenic Amine) quercetin, (an aromatic Amine) and kaempferol ( a Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor which inhibit the catabolism of dietary amines.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvia_hispanica As you will see from the following reference because of natural chemicals in plant foods, and some animals foods, my diet is 'currently' strictly limited. I do however thank you for your suggestions, every one of which I am following up. Clare in Tasmania ---------------------------- these substances / natural chemicals have been studied as follows: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11410016 Studies were conducted on the flavonoids (myricetin, quercetin, kaempferol, luteolin, and apigenin) contents of 62 edible tropical plants. The highest total flavonoids content was in onion leaves (1497.5 mg/kg quercetin, 391.0 mg/kg luteolin, and 832.0 mg/kg kaempferol), followed by Semambu leaves (2041.0 mg/kg), bird chili (1663.0 mg/kg), black tea (1491.0 mg/kg), papaya shoots (1264.0 mg/kg), and guava (1128.5 mg/kg). The major flavonoid in these plant extracts is quercetin, followed by myricetin and kaempferol. Luteolin could be detected only in broccoli (74.5 mg/kg dry weight), green chili (33.0 mg/kg), bird chili (1035.0 mg/kg), onion leaves (391.0 mg/kg), belimbi fruit (202.0 mg/kg), belimbi leaves (464.5 mg/kg), French bean (11.0 mg/kg), carrot (37.5 mg/kg), white radish (9.0 mg/kg), local celery (80.5 mg/kg), limau purut leaves (30.5 mg/kg), and dried asam gelugur (107.5 mg/kg). Apigenin was found only in Chinese cabbage (187.0 mg/kg), bell pepper (272.0 mg/kg), garlic (217.0 mg/kg), belimbi fruit (458.0 mg/kg), French peas (176.0 mg/kg), snake gourd (42.4 mg/kg), guava (579.0 mg/kg), wolfberry leaves (547.0 mg/kg), local celery (338.5 mg/kg), daun turi (39.5 mg/kg), and kadok (34.5 mg/kg). In vegetables, quercetin glycosides predominate, but glycosides of kaempferol, luteolin, and apigenin are also present. Fruits contain almost exclusively quercetin glycosides, whereas kaempferol and myricetin glycosides are found only in trace quantities. Guest guest
Most liver detox programs include milk thistle extract, alone or in combination with other things. Liver detox programs can vary so widely depending on the toxicity level and the energy level of the patient so it is difficult to recommend a one-size-fits-all program. In some cases a gallbladder problem also exists and a gallbladder "flush" might be needed after the liver is at least partially cleared. Then the lver cleanse repeated. Vitamin C intake must be adequate since it is an essential enzyme to rebuilding a healthy liver There are as many variations of these flushes as there are practitioners so my advice is find a good wholistic practitioner if you have a serious problem. Or, if your problem is minor, select a good liver/gallbladder cleanse product produced by a reputable manufacturer. Start slowly and work up to the recommended dose over several days, and complete the entire cleanse as recommended by the manufacturer--- On Wed, 7/1/09, jlkinkona <josephine wrote: jlkinkona <josephine Re: O/T NON Fish Oil Source Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 1:56 AM Tony,Do you know of any effective liver detox programs?Josephine , Tony De Angelis <tntstuart wrote:>> > > > From what you say I can't understand why coQ10 would be stopped or why you are not taking vitamin C and digestive enzymes.. Sensitivity to fumes/odors is frequently associated with a molybdenum deficiency. >  > You need to follow doctor's orders since surgery is so close to the present time, but I think you should eventually do a hair tissue analysis via a reputable lab such as Trace Elements in Texas to check mineral status.>  > Remember Linus Pauling?
