hi

I recently ordered some bentonite clay to try out for cosmetic purpose. But

the moment

i put the clay in hot water it becomes a lump instead of a smooth paste,

has anyone any idea as to how to mix it

without it turning lumpy? what else can i use the clay for apart from mask.

thanks

Jay, don't put the clay into hot water... measure out the clay and

gradually stir the liquid into it... will form a nice, smooth paste.

Sodium Bentonite is not good to use as a detox every day, it will actually plug

you up. for every day use, make sure it is a Calcium Bentonite, I prefer the

swelling green bentonite it is more expensive but worth it.

I only use Sodium bentonite for diarrhea, it works great!

Most of the time retailers will only say " bentonite clay " if it is sodium, if it

is calcium they will say " Calcium Bentonite clay " here is an example, when

its calcium they say calcium: http://www.livingclayco.com/products1.html

Once you have the powder and store it correctly, it will last indefinitely,

because chances are it's already millions of years old! Then you can hydrate

small amounts of clay with the purest water you can find as you need it for

various purposes.

Hydrated clay can also used externally for wound healing or in packs or

poultices for improving circulation and drawing out toxins or infections. Clay

powder can also be sprinkled into baths for soaking, which is very helpful again

for detoxification and drawing poisons, heavy metals and other pathogens out of

the body.

Dear Jay,

Hi there! I have been using Bentonite Clay for nearly two years with a great

deal of success. I first heard about it on one of the lists that I belong to

from a lady with the initials " BT. " Girls, she was right it does work. Shortly

after her email I went to an AT conference and heard 3 ladies talk about

bentonite clay within 24 hours so I took this as a sign to pay attention and ask

questions. I was interested in the clay for my acid reflux which it worked on

like a charm. Side effects are that it can dry out your sinuses too much if you

drink it too late in the day. The formula is as follows: for an 16 to 20 oz.

bottle of water add " 1/8 tsp. " of bentonite clay. Shake well and drink

throughout the day. For a 32 oz. bottle of water add " 1/4 tsp. " of bentonite

clay and shake well. Drink too much clay water in a day and you get dry mouth

and dry sinuses. If you put too much clay in the water you get constipated.

Small amounts keep you moving normally.

My acid reflux is under control and I don't have to take the bentonite clay like

I did for over a year. I was extremely skeptical about using the clay but I

learned differently. If you need any more help, email me.

Good luck with your husband's problem. My husband won't even try the clay. He

said that he was not going to eat dirt. lol.

Take care. Have a great weekend.

you do not take it every day, do you? I would be afraid it would pull out some

of the good minerals etc that your body needs if you took it every

day....(Honestly, I do not know the answer to this question,, but would like to!

thanks!)

I personally have not tried these products. There is a on clay and

they talk about a product called " The Living Clay " .

The website is http://www.livingclayco.com/

and here is another one

http://www.clayhealing.com/about_calcium_bentonite.htm

I just googled the terms " living clay " or " therapeutic clay " and there were

quite a few listed.

Cynthia
