My husband stayed with one child in the waiting room and the other went with my mother for 2 fillings. The Dentist insisted on having the silver fillings. My mother stated that the childs mother did not want the silver fillings. He said he would not do the work otherwise with the weaker white fillings. My mother then consented and had the work done..... He woke up Monday with a non productive cough. On Thursday he was put in time out by the teacher.(unheard of for him) Am I being an over-reactive Mother???? Please give me advice as to what I should do next. I would march the child into the surgery and demand that the amalgam filling be replaced by the composite filling as requested in the first place. If the dentist states that they are not very strong then you can tell him that there ARE strong composite fillings on the market and why is he not using them? But I understand that it is also much easier to write this for you than to do it! The child may be playing up in school for a number of reasons, mercury poisoning is not necessarily the prime reason this has happened. Kinesiology would tell you if this is the reason though. If you have any homeopathy in the house Aconite 30C may help - a dose night and morning for a couple of days. Well, I'd actually call 1st and get it all arranged....if they do not do those removals properly there, then they are to pay for another practitioner who does. This was clear bullying someone in a weak position...your mother didn't know enough to stand her ground anyway. I know it's a lot of trouble now but you'll be preventing a lot of potential harm. Yes, then give him more Aconite, Arnica, and lots of spirulina & chlorella to help cleanse things out before it settles in well. Most of the dentists I have been to in the last 10 years have always offered the ceramic fillings that cost a little more. My guess is that this child is being poisoned by his mercury fillings and needs them removed. Perhaps doing a hair analysis will reveal the high mercury levels as proof to the dentist that he needs to remove them at no charge.
