Apparently BO does not speak for the American people or their Constitution. Exactly who is the "WE" he was talking about? From how he speaks we cannot consider him an American and if this continues the people of America will impeach him or he will be voted out next time.

We are moving back towards religion again here, I suppose because it is the weekend, but may I say ALL religions claim God as their own - God is ALL ideals, ALL (good) values, and i do understand your concern, but in a way he is right (unintentionally I'm sure!) - however is America really a Godly nation? Americans think so, but how about the Iraqis? And other nations who have suffered American onslaught, either by weapons or vaccines or other deadly drugs? (Yes I am nit picking. But its true isn't it.)

Jane,

I don't think your nit picking at all and you're telling the truth. It reminds me of a news clip I saw a couple months ago here, a tornado destroyed a house yet the family was safe. The husband and wife were saying how thankful they were that god spared them. I started laughing as it dawned on me they were thanking god for sparing them and yet it was god who destroyed or at least allowed the destruction of their home. It's like thanking a robber for beating you up and not killing you.

Have you ever read Wilhelm Reich's book, 'The Murder of Christ'. He was on of Freuds students and in his book he states how ludericous the idea of god is.

I think you are advanced in thinking compared to most people.

Maybe BO is also just nit picking but America, althought it is not a Christian nation, has been founded on Judeo-Christian principles. The elitist jackals that worm their way into power create "onslaughts" that the American people do not condone.--- On Fri, 5/8/09, Jane MacRoss <highfield1 wrote:

Thanks Denny - unfortunately most people don't see it like that and I have been at the wrath of many Americans for expressing this same sentiment, so i was trying to say what i wanted as "gently" as possible. We all want our own nation to be Godly, to be the best, and we often refuse to see otherwise, so anyone from another nation telling us otherwise is usually not at all welcome. Individually we just have to do our best, remembering that harming nothing is not always the easiest route to take - someone said to me the other day - but you know this is a killing planet, and although I knew he was talking about the surface dwellers, I also wonder what the planet herself felt about this fact - because this is basically the truth. When I said that I had heard that this was a planet of commerce - he replied - yes, but even then they said "I made a killing ..... " when a sale has gone in your favour - interesting angle which I am still exploring,

I observe that in my father's day, when I was a child we would not have dreamed of using a weed killer, we pulled them out, we had a day in the garden weeding - likewise I have to demand that none of the people who have worked in my garden EVER use weed killer; we used to wipe the aphids off the roses, we dug the weeds into the vege patch and they broke down and fertilized the soil, its all the attitudes about the little things that are betraying us - even now I have to pause and not instinctively swat the fly - he has a right to life too.

Re: Do you know the Preamble for your state constitution?

Do you know the Preamble for your state constitution?

Apparently BO does not speak for the American people or their Constitution. Exactly who is the "WE" he was talking about? From how he speaks we cannot consider him an American and if this continues the people of America will impeach him or he will be voted out next time.

Apparently, the person that claims the title of President of the United States of American does not have a clue about the country he supposedly represents.

Freud has been discredited by his own profession so I don't ever quote anything he has said as having any great degree of credibility. I haven't read Reich's book so I cannot comment on that.

However, some of the greatest minds, such as Einstein and Pauling have concluded that there is likely a superior being or force that has assembled our universe.

Atheists are just another religious group with no leader or set of principles. So, an atheistic state is just as bad as a religious state. You are correct that God does not spare or destroy people preferentially. The events of the world are probably purely random with man only slightly influencing its direction.

I am not sure about anything but, if I had to place a bet on anything, I will have to bet there is a God. And if I have to guide my life on a set of principles, I would go by those started by a man who only "worked" about three years and has changed our world for centuries. I choose Christianity--- On Fri, 5/8/09, falcon <FALCON wrote:

Sitting chatting to a Salvation Army officer in 1985 I was surprised to hear her say "Australia is not a Christian nation you know" - secular is not Christian.

Blessing everyone you meet or read about with what you know or experience as the highest good, spreads that goodness, it does change the world. But it isn't always easy to remember to do it. Criticism is far easier. Habits are an effort to break.

If we all concentrated on and talked about the good we can find in the world and around us, the world would be a better place, and if we can find no good, then there is nothing to stop us creating some

We are moving back towards religion again here, I suppose because it is the weekend, but may I say ALL religions claim God as their own - God is ALL ideals, ALL (good) values, and i do understand your concern, but in a way he is right (unintentionally I'm sure!) - however is America really a Godly nation? Americans think so, but how about the Iraqis? And other nations who have suffered American onslaught, either by weapons or vaccines or other deadly drugs? (Yes I am nit picking. But its true isn't it.)

I agree Reich was desecrated by his own profession. In fact he was put in

prison and died the day he was to get out, the U.S. government having destroyed

a lot of his papers and work. It is interesting that to this day his profession

uses some of his work and ideas though and too a lot of his ideas are being

proven true, although not all. He dared be the hieratic of his profession in

his day and age and paid the price with his life.

I understand Jane what you mean by the idea of nationalism. We have a lot of

that right now here in the States. I see nationalism as a cult and probably the

worst cult there is. Nationalism destroys the physical and mental health of

thousands. My dad, for instance, was in WWII first in the infantry and then

transferred via a directive from Eisenhower to the 7th Armored Division. From

D+2 until the day before the war in Europe ended he was mostly on the front

lines. The day before the war ended a shell hit near his tank and he had a

breakdown. The rest of his life he was shaking some and never really got over

the war. Our government, much like the British government with The Charge Of

The Light Brigade, all but forgot my dad after that. Damaged property is of

little use.

For many, who are sent off to the war and fortunate enough to come

home, seem to never really come home again.

I have just finished watching The Power of Nightmares (available on

Video Google, 3 parts, or youtube in 18 parts) and the powers have

used religion to unite the people in a patriotic mind set, quite a

concerted effort, neocon driven with, what I believe to observe, a

level of paranoia reinforcing their efforts.

I believe with the way it has been done,, it deluded the people

into the false belief that USA only did the right thing in other

countries, always was the sugar daddy type care. Need help? USA will give

it, no strings attached.

Under this cover, many an atrocity is hidden. As I said, it was a

concerted effort, for a purpose, deluding everyone, leading towards

to NWO.

I agree, the NWO as is planned is certainly not what we want. It

needs a concerted effort now to wake the people up and sense the

patriot mind set for all the right reasons, remembering the reasons why

25.000 soldiers lost their lives in the Revolution.

It has gone on unchecked for far too long, and I know that some

have resented my negative comments regarding Obama. It's not

Obama's ideas, he is just another puppet but a very clever intelligent

one nevertheless.
