Guest guest
Statin drugs deplete the production of all hormones and enzymes in the body by curtailing the production of cholesterol by the liver. Two crucial things depleted are coenzyme Q10 and vitamin D. Despite what drug purveyors tell you, a total cholesterol (TC) level is optimal for the average person under 65 years old. If any person has TC below 200, he should take at least 1000 IU of vitamin D3 as a supplement every day for each ten points of TC below 200. (At 160 TC that would be 4000 IU). Plus he should take 10,000 to 25,000 IU of vitamin A (not beta-carotene) For women over 65, the WHO (not the rock group) found that 200 plus their age is optimal if there have been no prior cardiac incidents.
