Guest guest
Many suffer from the side effects of Statin Drugs. This new book may help them understand. Spacedoc NewsletterMarch 10, 2009 The Statin Damage Crisis My purpose in the choice of the title "The Statin Damage Crisis" is to draw attention to the thousands of statin damaged people who have written to me about their disabling neuropathies, myopathies and a variety of neurodegenerative conditions such as ALS and Parkinsonism associated with statin use. Originally this was to be a new edition of Statin Drugs Side Effects ( SDSE ) but I decided to make it a stand alone title. Although much of the book's content will be familiar to readers of SDSE, the Statin Damage Crisis adds material and ideas I have learned in the past two years including mitochondrial mutations and statins. The Statin Damage Crisis should be available in the next two weeks. I know this can be argued indefinitely but from my perspective these twelve seemed to be the most important. I had tried robust doses of CoQ10 both with and without selenium for a time, and glyconutrients and lecithin for half a year with no significant effect on the process that was robbing me of strength and stability and turning my muscles to jelly. I had never tried all twelve supplements together as never did I think I could possibly benefit from all twelve supplements simultaneously but I decided to try this approach. At the end of one week I was seeing improvement. By the middle of the fourth week I ventured out with my walking stick (for stability) and surprised my neighbors and that's where I am at present. I keep telling myself this is all placebo effect, knowing full well that this can be very powerful. But even my wife remarks on the new muscular look of my thighs and there seems no disputing my new energy. March 2nd 2009 was my 78th birthday and my vision of an imminent wheelchair existence has been replaced by hope of active life yet.Read the March 2009 update to My Statin Story Duane Graveline MD MPHFormer USAF Flight Surgeon, Former NASA Astronaut, Retired Family Doctor Books by Dr Duane Graveline MD MPH "The Statin Damage Crisis" by Dr Duane Graveline Dr Graveline's third book on statins called "The Statin Damage Crisis" will be available in March. Originally planned as a new edition to "Statin Drugs Side Effects," it will instead be released as a stand alone title so that the highly relevant material in "SDSE" will still be available.Dr Graveline wrote the following introduction to this latest title: Early on my NASA doctors told me my amnesia response to statins was nothing but a coincidence but I persevered to write my first book, "Lipitor, Thief of Memory" and now find that over 1,000 cases of amnesia and memory loss have been reported to the FDA, just from Lipitor alone. Then I learned of statin damage to nerves and muscles and profound behavioral and personality changes, demanding I write a second book, "Statin Drugs Side Effects." Even this broadly encompassing book was insufficient to describe what I have learned more recently of the truly dark side of statins - their ability to alter the very fabric of our makeup. I had long wondered why muscle and nerve damage seemed permanent and even progressive like my own ALS-like condition. Now I have found that the ultimate effect of statins on CoQ10 and dolichols is to damage the DNA of the mitochondrial life - force within our cells - mitochondrial mutation masquerading as premature old age.
