Two year old's immune system

My two year old grandson gets frequent colds and ear infections. He

has been on antibiotics frequently. I suspect that the vaccinations

have compromised his immune system but there is really not a way to

prove that. Having the vaccinations is a choice his parents made and

cannot be undone at any rate. My question is what can be done to

improve his immune system? I have purchased a product for children with

echinacae and suggested a probiotic. I would welcome any information.

A suppressed immune system may be due to accumulated or not eliminated toxic metals in the vaccines. The least expensive way to test for this is a hair sample analysis which would cost about 100 dollars.

Antibiotics are rarely necessary but, if they are used, probiotics need to be taken during and after the aitiibiotics if you do not want to allow surviving bacteria to become superbugs. However, you need to be told which probiotics to use and when to use them. This depends on which antibiotic is being used. Colloidal silver is also a good option or adjunct for antibiotics.

Flushing the colon, liver and kidneys can restore a damaged immune system also.--- On Tue, 3/3/09, ct0253j <ct0253j wrote:

These are just a few things I did for my 10 year old who also gets sick a lot: lots of vit c (powderded buffered kind, can mixed into juice), sambucal w/ Echinacea (they sell this as a combo)-a tsp. everyday, colostrom-mix into milk everyday. Probiotics are essential, especially when antbx. have been used. You can mix them right into his milk. Make sure the product you buy says "billions" of organisms per dose. Keep sugar consumption minimal. Susan Siegel On Mar 3, 2009, at 10:04 AM, ct0253j wrote:My two year old grandson gets frequent colds and ear infections. He has been on antibiotics frequently. Good advice except cow's milk is not for humans even in the whole raw for without growth hormone and antibiotic residue. A good milk substitute, which contains immune-boosting immunoglobulins, is whey protein isolates (not concentrates)--- On Tue, 3/3/09, Susan Siegel <ssiegel5 wrote:

Well, we don't use "real " milk either. I just use "milk" as a generic term. It works with whatever "milk" you use. Sounds like he needs a probotic that is a vitamin that they put in the food. But at a much better dose. If you take alot of antibiotics that takes the good bacterias away! So you need to replace with a probiotic. Bifofidious. Even babies breast feeding can take from mothers it is safe for him. My cousin gives it to her 5 kids. But make sure you get a pure vitamin or herb that does not usally come from a drug store. Pure as in Natures sunshine products. Type in where to buy in your area. A real pure herb vitamin. Everyone needs a probiotic especially on meds!!!!--- On Tue, 3/3/09, Tony De Angelis <tntstuart wrote:

I second the probiotic. But, I need to point out that a probiotic is not an

herb/vitamin as stated in the comment below. It is a " good " bacteria and " good "

bacteria fight against " bad " bacteria.

Thanks everyone for your input. I know Vitamin D is good for the immune system. What is a safe level of Vitamin D for a two year old? I will go buy the probiotic today.

Probiotics are good, and eat organic/not process foods. To address another

broad dimension of a compromised immune system and overall toxicity,

constitutional homeopathy works well. It does not entail getting a lot of

different things into the child, very simple pleasant doses with

long-term/permanent results.

I would use a flavored, emulsified cod liver oil which has vitamin A, D, EPA, and DHA - all essential nutrients. Vitamin D alone will not be as effective.--- On Wed, 3/4/09, Carolyn Touchton <ct0253j wrote:
