Hi all, I request advice for treating either severely bruised or

cracked ribs. I fell on some pipe and have not been to a clinic for

x-rays. This was Wednesday. It's not any better, as i wouldn't expect

yet. No visible bruise on skin, but awful sore inside. Sitting down or

standing is when the pain is worse. Have been taking 3 Naproxin per

day for it. Hot showers seem to help. I know the medical pros can't do

too much to help either. Any suggestions? TIA

I had cracked ribs once. The Dr. had me wear a velcro wrap around my rib cage for 3 weeks. Just took it off to shower, and to sleep. You really need to go see about it.

Blessed are the cracked, for they are the ones, that let the light in.

Having had that misfortune myself a couple of years ago, I endured

the pain for a couple of days hoping it would get less painful to

breathe. It was painful with some movements but the breathing made

me go and see a doctor just to make sure nothing else was broken, or

splintered or whatever could have happened.

Have it checked, just to be on the safe side. For the rest I'd

suggest take it easy, accommodate yourself as to minimise aggravating

the internal bruises. My guess is that getting comfortable with

sleeping is not easy either? It will get better but I remember it

took close to 2 months before I realised it wasn't painful anymore.

Won't forget that fall that's for sure.

You could try rubbing some DMSO on the site for the pain and

inflammation.

Thanks to all that replied! I wish I has some DMSO to try. I'll see what it feels like come Monday. I may need to seek pro help, as bad as I dislike resorting to it. A wrap may be a good idea!

Again, Thank YOU all!

MSM is a carrier and will help carry any vitamins into you system. It has been

used on horse race tracks to help heal up sprains and strains by wrapping a

leg wrap around a horses leg and saturating the wrap with MSM. I have also

heard that It is one of the rare minerals that will penetrate skin and by mashing

up aspirin and mixing it with MSM you can saturate gauze with the mix and

placing it right over the bruised or damaged part and the MSM will carry the

aspirin directly into to the hurt area and stop the pain without having to go

through your system.
