I am a housewife, mother, and portrait photographer who stumbled on to EFT two years ago, and fell in love with the gentle healing that EFT allows." Progress was made on this issue because Nancy used EFT on an earlier specific event (the client's "first time"). Nancy says, "Using the Tell the Story Technique, we worked through each part of her first time, which was painful, then frightening, not consummated, and not pleasurable in the least. We stopped and tapped several times as the scene unfolded in her memory." She says, "EFT has helped children suffering from test anxiety, separation anxiety, social difficulties, anger, frustration, guilt, fears, aches and pains, lying, stealing, dyslexia and ADHD. It is an especially effective tool for enabling children, especially those who are perfectionists, to stop beating themselves up for making mistakes. EFT alleviates anxiety better than any other technique I have ever seen used in schools." While I presume she eventually teaches the EFT protocol, this idea allows the participants to get an experience of the relaxation that is possible by tapping the EFT points. Partial progress is made by aiming EFT at the physical symptoms but it wasn't until emotional issues were cleared that complete relief was achieved. The value of guessing: Releasing trauma in an injured elbow: Have you ever had a problem with finding an emotional issue that may be underlying a physical symptom? Try guessing. This is a serious suggestion because within your guesses lie your intuition and guidance. I have often found that guessing opens up new doors wherein EFT can provide its benefits. Stopping the flu in its early stages: What would it mean to you if you could stop those inevitable flu attacks from wiping you out for several days? No guarantees here, of course, but we get many reports where EFT has thwarted sickness in its early stages. Here is an example by Kathy Von Duyke. When stuck in an elevator....: Steve Wells found himself stuck in a "lift" (that's Australian for elevator) for 25 to 30 minutes. Our emotions can play tug-of-war with our psyches under such circumstances--especially when we are 5 floors up--and it is easy to shift into panic. Listen in as Steve tells his story, including his use of EFT to shift back from panic to calm. Eliminating two food allergies in one session: In this case, Gwenn Bonnell works with an 11 year old child with extreme reactions to common adolescent food. As she describes, "Around age 6 he was tested for allergies, and he tested very allergic to chicken and cane syrup. His mother had been able to control (somewhat) his exposure to and intake of these foods until recently, when he began going to parties on his own and indulging in cokes, etc. He would be up all night, and not able to go to school on Mondays after a busy social weekend."
