From Suzy Cohen's '24 hour Pharmacy'

Boils: They start out as red spots, then fill with pus and get

tender. Most boils come to a head on their own and often rupture and

drain by themselves within a week or two.

They tend to pop up where you sweat or feel friction, especially on

your neck, armpits, bottom, thighs, or sometimes on your forehead or

face.

You're most likely to get them if you've got a suppressed immune

system or diabetes, or if you're simply run down.

Your pharmacy sells Boil Ease to numb the pain and promote healing.

Or get some tea tree oil at the health food store, or perhaps a natural

ointment containing slippery elm.

My readers tell me that rubbing some oil of oregano onto their boils

right at the onset keeps them from fully developing and lessens their

duration.

Another folks remedy has you eating lots of fresh garlic and turmeric

spice and applying the juices of garlic and onion to the boil to bring it

to s head.

Finally, there's an odd time pharmacy remedy called ichtammol, a

thick black ointment that draws out the toxins. Most drugstores

still sell it under the brand name Draw Out Salve.

From the above I draw the conclusion that a somewhat suppressed

immune system, or being run down, is the culprit. Could it be

that he has the very early beginnings of diabetes?

It somehow indicates a painful elimination of toxins in the blood

stream.

The application of garlic juice or onion juice makes me think that

either an application with DMSO would help or perhaps

ingesting MSM, both being rich in sulphur.

Hope this you a bit of a lead.

Hey all

My son --28--gets these boils that get very painful---and keep

coming back every few weeks. When he gets a bout of them he feels flu

like symptoms and extrem fatigue. The doctor he goes to just treats it

like an infection but with the fatigue and all I think it has to be

something more. He is in good health otherwise and pretty good

habits---but this is really draining him. Any ideas?

Thanks

Bea
