Bryan:

My dog is a 14 year old lab mix. He had been having nose bleeds so I took him to the vet. He was diagnosed with a fungal infection called aspergillus. I guess this is very rare in my part of the country (NE Ohio). The treatment is very expensive.... thousands of dollars. I am at a loss as to what to do. Can you recommend any herbal remedies?

Thanks,

Peg

Hi Peg,

I would try giving the dog Total Tonic and Echinacea internally. This

would help to fight the infection from the inside and boost his immune

system. As for handling the infection in the nasal canal, We have a

formula called herbal snuff and it is very anti fungal. The

ingredients are: Goldenseal Root Powder, Bayberry Bark Powder, Garlic

Powder and cayenne powder. This herbal combo should kill and heal the

fungus and any damage done. I have used this formula for sinus

troubles and it sets your nasal cavities on fire for anywhere from 10

to 30 minutes!!! But when the burning sensation goes away, all clear!

It does not physically burn, it just generates heat. The trick here

would be, How do you get a dog to snort herbal powders in his nose???

I think these would help greatly and are conveniently way cheaper!

P.s. Bryan thinks that the dog would howl bloody murder but that the

Herbal Snuff would do the trick.
