Guest guest
Hi everyone, I live in the northwest and am looking to purchase a good book describing edible herbs that are found everywhere in my area (like chickweed, dandelion for example) and another book that will tell me what medicinal herbs grow in my area and how to use them (such as plantain). I have 5 small children and I'm REALLY feeling the need to be more self reliant than I currently am. Thanks and blessings! Tammy

Guest guest
The companion guide to edible wild plants is another one I wouldn't be without. It includes how to prepare the plants. Guest guest
It is also a Peterson Field guide. Technically, most of them are not written by Peterson, but they are all that series. It is an excellent series with all kinds of books for plants and animals. There is another one on poisonous plants and venomous animals that is next on my list to buy. Guest guest
That reminds me Ramona. I finished unloading all my books a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday started listing all of my books on healing and herbs, and discovered I have so many, this has turned into a project LOL ;o))) I didn't realize I had so many. Anywho, the list will be available shortly. Hugs, Doc On 4/19/2010 5:58 PM, Ramona wrote: The companion guide to edible wild plants is another one I wouldn't be without. Guest guest
I like the Audubon books better than Peterson's and I have both. They don't have the drawings that Peterson's does but they have excellent pictures. > > > Hi everyone, > I live in the northwest and am looking to purchase a good book > describing edible herbs that are found everywhere in my area (like > chickweed, dandelion for example) and another book that will tell > me what medicinal herbs grow in my area and how to use them (such > as plantain).
