Guest guest Posted April 14, 2010 Report Share Posted April 14, 2010 I made a double batch of this for my 2 grandkids, 17 and 19 mo. old.Then got to worrying, I know barley in soups will give a person diarhia if too much is taken or used. Since it doesn't have the cooked grains with it, is this an issue. How much would you recommend giveing and how often? The recipe doesn't say. The youngest tried an ounce and she loved it, wanted more. Tried it myself, and honestly one of the most fantastic tastes ever. Going to make some for myself, but use stevia instead of the corn syrup. Woould that be a better idea for the kids? They are very active and probably can easily burn the calories off. Walked and played in a very cold mtn. stream in WNC with her today. She doesn't mind that very cold water at all. My size 14 foot shrunk to size 11 or so. My sincere thanks for any advice.
