Sad but not shocking.

Any long time Whole Foods customer can see that the store has changed

and sells less real food and more processed "" Organic"" food.

Sad that Organic Standards which once protected our quality of food

have reached their all time low. Sad that so called ""Health Food

Stores"" like Whole Foods and the huge corporations are the reason.

Who's on our side any more? The bastards saw dollar signs within the

words Organic, health food, vegan, sugar free, and vegetarian. "Pervert

the good things; make millions." Corporate scum.

Hi Pam,  I have been taken gynema sylvestre for a few

months now.  I even found it in organic form from Whole Foods.  It

comes in caplets.  They dont smell too good though.  This one is from

the Himalayas.  Though I am skeptic of its  possible heavy metal

contamination as  we have been warned of these aryuvedic herbs.    I am

a type 1 and so far my craving for sugar has decreased substantially.

I am also feeling that I need to take less insulin for the carbs I am

eating. THough at times  I am having trouble with highs.  I have read

this.   I may have to take this herb for a few more months and see if

this really works or not.

Doc,

Have you had any experience with Gymnema sylverstre?

It's supposed to help with diabeties (type 1 and 2) and is called

"sugar buster"? Supposedly if you drink this tea you don't want the

sugar afterward or something like that.

I've just started learning about this the last few

days, I'm curious to find out more about it.

I don't live to close to any Wholefoods stores, however there is one across the street from my employer. I had some time to kill and browsed Wholefoods. You are right it is alot of processed foods and many of the same things you can buy in the local grocery store at 3x's the price! I do shop at our local health food store and buy as much as my budget will allow. I do actually find they are slightly cheaper or about the same as Wholefoods. There is a new store called Fresh Market that isn't to far. It's on the way to where we go fishing on Sundays. Well we will start fishing again the first weekend in May. Can't wait to start fishing again! Can't get more organic then salt water fish!

Well, yes in a way, you do see some processed foods there but too much processing is involved. I am probably one of the very few men who actually read labels and carefully. LOL, I do not see any with aritifial sweetners, additives, preservatives and the like. Or I may have missed them. They have a lot of organic foods but also conventional. And that is what baffles me. If you are going to sell organic then why are you also selling the exact same item,,,,,and in the produce section,,,right next to each other,,,, conventional? And there is a brand called 365. Some of them are organic but NOT ALL 365 brands are organic. Again, why cant they make up there mind and just stick to one or the other?

I was just at a whole foods today after work. I had to buy a few things. I bumped into a very attractive lady there but when I am in a grocery store around food, my mind was on the food. I did not talk to her besides saying excuse me. Well, if I did not have a girlfriend, I may have started a chat. :)

They do carry UDO's oil. I have bought some before to use in my green dragon drink. They also carry alot of herbs and cleanses. Again, some are organic but not all. I try to stick with the organic ones.

If they use the same baskets/ bins for the

organic produce that they use for the poison: its not truly organic is

it?

365 is the Whole Foods corporation brand name just like Sam's Choice,

Publix Brand, Laura Lynn, etc. Usually the cheapest because the

corporation owns the manufacture.

Its good that Whole Foods still carry UDO's oil. UDO's oil is awesome.

Whole Foods doesn't carry the big bottle anymore, just the little

bottle and it's over priced. Much cheaper to buy directly from Flora.

Whole Foods will continue to phase the good products out slowly. Mark

my words. They're owned by the enemy.

Locate your local farmers market everyone. Demand organic and support

local growers. ~B

What is UDO's oil?...Whiole foods came under big scrutiny as their 365 brand of frozen food claimed to be organic...but came from China...where who knows what is is in the soil...there was a whole chain of certifying folks there (supposedly) and the truth got lost in the chain...so no one knows as the wonderful (???) FDA is not in china inspecting...hmmm...surprise!d--- On Fri, 4/16/10, Bryan Shillington <bryan wrote:Bryan Shillington <bryanRe: {Herbal Remedies} Whole Foodsherbal remedies Date: Friday, April 16, 2010, 1:12 PM

WFoods 365 products are made of canola oil!!! This is sourced from poisonous

plant. Even if they say they steam it, do you believe there won't be any

harmful residues? Yes, Wfoods has deteriorated. I also see some of their fruits

are moldy and i immediately know it as my nose gets so itchy bec. i am allergic

to mold. Most groceries make me suffer due to presence of mold.

have to take this herb for a few more months and see if this really works or

not.

Doc,

with diabeties (type 1 and 2) and is called " sugar buster " ? Supposedly if you

drink this tea you don't want the sugar afterward or something like that.

Well, that too, but the point I am trying to make is why not just carry all organic instead of organic and conventional products. Its like a pharmacy also selling an antidote for there toxic poisonous pharmaceutical drugs they also sell. The catch is that the antidote cost twice as much as there drug.

If they use the same baskets/ bins for the organic produce that they use for the poison: its not truly organic is it? 365 is the Whole Foods corporation brand name just like Sam's Choice, Publix Brand, Laura Lynn, etc. Usually the cheapest because the corporation owns the manufacture. Its good that Whole Foods still carry UDO's oil. UDO's oil is awesome. Whole Foods doesn't carry the big bottle anymore, just the little bottle and it's over priced. Much cheaper to buy directly from Flora. Whole Foods will continue to phase the good products out slowly. Mark my words. They're owned by the enemy. Locate your local farmers market everyone. Demand organic and support local growers. ~BOn 4/16/2010 12:57 AM, Robert Nodge wrote:

Sad but not shocking. Any long time Whole Foods customer can see that the store has changed and sells less real food and more processed "" Organic"" food. Sad that Organic Standards which once protected our quality of food have reached their all time low. Sad that so called ""Health Food Stores"" like Whole Foods and the huge corporations are the reason. Who's on our side any more? The bastards saw dollar signs within the words Organic, health food, vegan, sugar free, and vegetarian. "Pervert the good things; make millions." Corporate scum. Hi Pam, I have been taken gynema sylvestre for a few months now. I even found it in organic form from Whole Foods. It comes in caplets. They dont smell too good though. This one is from the Himalayas. Though I am skeptic of its possible heavy metal contamination as we have been warned of these aryuvedic herbs. I am a type 1 and so far my craving for sugar has decreased substantially. I am also feeling that I need to take less insulin for the carbs I am eating. THough at times I am having trouble with highs. I have read possitive studies about this herb helping type 1 diabetics handle this. Doc, I can send you some information via the mail about this herb if you like. This may be something you can think about carrying.

Doc,

Have you had any experience with Gymnema sylverstre? It's supposed to help with diabeties (type 1 and 2) and is called "sugar buster"? Supposedly if you drink this tea you don't want the sugar afterward or something like that.

I've just started learning about this the last few days, I'm curious to find out more about it.
