Guest guest
Nope. Shillington recipe. Lots of respect for John Christopher. Awesome natural healer. Good for buying his book. The Oldest Shillington recipe is: 60% Organic Castor Oil, 30% Organic Citronella Oil, 10% Organic Canphor Oil. Been tested, tried and true in muskeg regions of northern Canada. Please let me know as I’d like to mix some up as soon as possible. I make it exactly the way he did. We call it Grand Dad's Insect Repellent I don't recall ever selling a bottle (We have never promoted it) but it is what I use when I go wildcrafting in the forests. Sometimes a tick will drop off a tree and land on me. He hops off right away. They don't like the stuff but i does. Tastes jus' fine to me.lol. ~B On 4/7/2010 11:59 AM, Lisa wrote: Better yet…how about a natural tick repellent that is safe for folks to put on? This would also help alleviate the possibility of ticks. We’ve already been removing them here (and already have experienced one bite…but too big for a deer tick). I’ve heard of Durano which I never knew about – you don’t spray yourself but rather the clothes you’re going to wear. This is great…but not cost effective to spray your entire wardrobe (especially with kids who will wear something different every day). Anybody? I am looking for a natural method to treat Lymes. We take all the precautions we can to avoid contact but the tiny deer ticks find us anyway. I have only been to a doctor twice in the past three years and both times it was because of the Lymes bullseye mark. Any ideas?
