Guest guest
Alison, My doctor told me once about a year ago, to use duct tape. Put it and let it set a little while and rip it off. It sounds crazy but she says it works!! Julia Graber Girl By Julia

Guest guest
Strangely, I found that the TCM methods weren't as effective as others. Thuja lotion, that comes in a tube and is made by Boiron Homeopathics, works really well. That method requires some duct tape over it. Otherwise, believe it or not, stridex anti-blemish pads (medium strength) work famously. It's the salicylic acid. Just put the pad on before your socks (if it is on your foot) daily after showering or cleaning the area, and in a few weeks they will turn black and disappear. These work really well if the warts have started to clover or spread to the surrounding tissue. For really tough ones, you can combine both methods. Both are tried and true, I got rid of 11 at once with one tub of stridex pads. ________________________________ Mark Milotay <mark Chinese Medicine Thursday, November 13, 2008 11:14:00 AM Re: plantar warts I prefer the US Military's solution for plantar warts - duct tape. http://www.howtodot hings.com/ health-and- fitness/a4344- how-to-remove- warts-with- duct-tape. html On Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 10:04 AM, abbaanderson2004 <aanderson (AT) aimc (DOT) edu> wrote: > Hi, all! > > I'm wondering if anybody has seen results treating plantar warts with any > Chinese medicine > modality? > > Thanks! > > Abba Anderson > > abbaanderson. com > abbaanderson@ me.com > 510 684 2552 > >
Guest guest
I've treated an extensive plantar wart colony using the Health Concerns " Clear Heat " formula + having the patient use a real (smoky) moxa stick 10 min 2x/day over area. The warts disappeared in a week-10 days, after a 3 year bout, surgeries, etc. Just my anecdote, but I was impressed. -Ben Hawes, L.Ac. Guest guest
This Thuja lotion worked wonders for my daughter (18) who had them cut out 2 x's, and boy that looked painful, just to numb it. I also had her on a regimin of Vitamin A before she started the homeopathic. It seemed the Vit A (and of course you can't overdo this) reduced them quite a bit. I had her stop it and apply the Thuja ointment, no duct tape, and they disappeared. It has been close to a year now and no return. -- Anne C. Guest guest
I've used castor oil with baking soda applied on a continual dressing. Generally works in but a few days depending on location. Both this treatment as well as duct tape (separately) are about 70% effective in my experience. Guest guest
My daughter has about 6 of these on her feet. We've been to the dr 6 times now with them using the freezing method. They are going away, but not completely yet. I've come to the conclusion that there has to be another way of getting rid of these without watching her go through so much pain. I've read that putting duck tape on them and leaving on for 5-10 days should do the trick. I know garlic has been mentioned too, but I know my daughter will not leave garlic on her feet. Has anyone tried the duck tape with good results? Or anything else that should work? It should be pretty easy at this point since they are almost gone. thank you, Robin
Guest guest
Doc has a Black Walnut hull formula that is very anti fungal and would more than likely help finish them off. Also adding raw garlic to her diet would help to fight them off from the inside. Good Luck! Kelly P.s. the duct tape sounds like it would suffocate them, i would think it would be worth a try. I tried this when my kids were competitive swimmers. After one trip to the dr. to have one cut out I looked for another solution. I applied the oil each morning then put a bandaid over it, and each time they came out of the pool,( This was during the summer months) After a week I found the remains of the root in the the bandaid. This seemed to work so well because the kids were gettting their feet soaked on a regular basis. The vitamin e oil also worked for me but not so well. After about 2 weeks the warts were protuding from my big toe so got the tweezers and yanked hard. ouch!!!!!!!! Don't recommend pulling them out but once i got over the initial pain was wart free. Think if i had soaked my feet more would have had a similar result to my kids. Good Luck Pauline
Guest guest
My daughter had a Plantar's wart and was scheduled to have it burnt off . I had her put the inside of a banana peel on the wart eveynight at bedtime (we used medical tape and a sock to keep it on) On the fourth morning the wart came off when we took off the banana -roots and all. I took her to the doctor , he said surgery wasn't necessary and that he was going to recommend his patients try the banana peel from now on. Not sure why it worked but my daughter was so relieved that it did and the Plantar wart never returned. - snickers2261 herbal remedies Tuesday, March 30, 2010 11:25 {Herbal Remedies} Plantar warts My daughter has about 6 of these on her feet. Guest guest
I’ve heard of the banana peel trick before (and having gone through the freezing one off when I was young – would definitely opt for something different…as the freezing wasn’t 100% successful). My question is (and I’m sorry if it seems silly) but honestly…a banana peel – is that the INSIDE of the banana peel that is placed next to the wart OR the outside of the banana peel that is placed on the wart? I for the life of me, have never been able to determine which it is – although my gut feeling would be to say the inside of the peel. Is that how you used it? Guest guest
I'd like to know if you can keep a peel in the fridge or something and keep cutting pieces off or if you have to peel a new one every day or how you go about this.
