Guest guest
This is true in Chinese medicine. There are certain foods with warming properties, such as spicy foods and meats. This will add heat to the system, which can rise to the heart and cause restlessness. - Debra Garrett herbal remedies Sunday, March 14, 2010 8:59 AM RE: {Herbal Remedies} Teen having trouble getting to sleep This may sound really silly, but this works for me every time and for anyone I recommend it to. Do not eat after 6 PM as the digestive system is what usually keeps us awake. (If you do eat something, eat only fruit, such as pineapple or grapefruit) Next, do four things: Turn your mind off. (Let any thoughts that come that tempt you to “get into it and figure it out” just pass). Have a completely quiet room. Get in to a comfortable position and totally relax your body (quietly refuse to give in to tossing and turning). Let all the tension be released muscle by muscle. Close your eyes (many people can’t sleep because they just don’t close their eyes) Breathe in and out from UNDER the belly button. Fill your lower belly with air and then release it slowly. Keep your focus on breathing. I don’t know why, but this works every time. This is how I have taught my children and grandchildren to go to sleep and, again, it works. Quietly put yourself into God’s hands and know “He is able”. herbal remedies [herbal remedies ] On Behalf Of zdschaffnerSunday, March 14, 2010 1:43 AMherbal remedies Subject: {Herbal Remedies} Teen having trouble getting to sleep Hi, are there any bright ideas on this? My son is 17, and has trouble getting to sleep. Once asleep, he's fine, sleeps through the night. But it's taking so long to get to sleep that getting up for school is tough. I was going to give him melatonin, then did some reading and decided that's a bad idea. Anyone got some good ideas? Thanks!

Guest guest
Just try sleepytime tea from celestial seasonings, available at any Walmart or grocery store for about $3 a box. It tastes great and have him drink it about a half an hour before he goes to bed. Grandma herbal remedies , " zdschaffner " <zdschaffner wrote: > > Hi, are there any bright ideas on this? Guest guest
Dear ZD, Not enough data to go on here. Check out the 3 rules from my earlier post, and look it over. You'll spot what he's doing he shouldn't be doing or vice versa. Best, Doc On 3/14/2010 1:43 AM, zdschaffner wrote: Hi, are there any bright ideas on this?
