Guest guest
My daughter has a ferret we think is about 3 years old. She started losing her hair and was brought to the vets. The vet told her it was adrenal gland disease and that Gizy (ferret) needed surgury that would cost at least $700. There is no way that my daughter can afford this. I was speaking with a friend that used to have ferrets, she had one that had the gland problem and instead of surgury she is somewhat sure she gave the ferret 1 dropper full of olive oil every other day. But everyday gave the ferret 3-4 drops of echinacia extract and something called Apis (a pill she crushed, I can't seem to find info on it). Her ferret grew her hair back and outlived all the other ferrets. However she isn't exactly sure this is all she gave the ferret. I don't want to give my daughter wrong info. She loves her ferret and actually rescued it from pretty bad situation over a year ago. If anyone has any ideas please pass along. -- Pam
