Guest guest
Dear Doc: This is so embarrassing, but I have had fungus on my toenails for 9 years. I have tried a lot of things and nothing seems to work. Just last night I noticed it is starting on the fingernails of my hands!! I was crying last night because I am so frustrated. I don't want to take Lamisil because I've read about the horrible side effects to the liver, etc. Not for me. The new laser treatment is $1,200!!!! I just can't afford it. Is there anything you know of that will take care of fungus on the nails. Thanks for any help. Kitty

Guest guest
my husband has had nail fungus for as long as i've known him. his thumb is so bad mishapen and horrible, the family has named it frankenthumb and fungusthumb. changing the subject...... i read that boswellia (frankincence) is good for arthritis, so i bought some, put it in a cup on a candle burner with coconut oil, and tried massaging it in to my hands. seemed to work pretty good, so i told dh to try it to see if it worked for him. after coercing him, ignoring his poo poos....i made him try it to see if it helped him too. well, it did, and the next day he asked if he could try some more. long story short, frankincence does help with arthritis pain.....but it has a side effect.......it kills nail fungus. now, after about 6 weeks, his thumb looks almost normal, and the fungus has really cleared a lot! back in ancient times, frankincence was worth more than gold, and was used for everything. its anti biotic, anti viral, and anti fungal. it is great for any skin conditions, including erasing wrinkles (i may soon have trouble passing for a senior citizen, LOL) i can see why it was worth more than gold way back when, and wonder why it is not used more in modern times. anyway, dh tried everything, including lamisil for awhile for fungus, and nothing ever worked, until this unusual side effect of frankincense. i got mine online, its not too expensive, abt $5. jan pixiepie2003 pixiepie2003Subject: {Herbal Remedies} For Doc: Fungus on my toenailsThis is so embarrassing, but I have had fungus on my toenails for 9 years. Guest guest
What I know about nail fungus is that not one remedy works for all. I don't know if there are different kinds of fungus under the nails or why there is so much difference in responses. One of my herbal customers said what worked for him is a mix of Eucalyptus Globulus, tea tree oil, DMSO and GSE. I don't know if he put it in an olive oil base or what. Putting it on straight would be too strong. Experiment and see what works for you. Gayla
Guest guest
Dear Kitty, If I were you, I'd be approaching this from the inside as well as the outside. There is always an internal "why" as well as an external symptom. Most likely your diet needs some serious looking into so that it doesn't come back. This is what I'd do: Increase your daily intake of Total Tonic to double the daily dosage = 4 dropperfuls 3 times a day. Take 4 cloves of garlic a day by chopping them into quarters, dipping them in Olive Oil and then swallowing them like a handful of vitamins. Apply directly on the area for 3 days one drop of Tea Tree Oil per toe per day. After the Tea Tree part is done, for 7 days, one drop of Black Walnut Hull Tincture on each toe, 3 times a day until gone. I'd cut out all meat while doing this regimen and if you haven't done a Total Body Cleanse in a while, I'd even do that first and then add the above in after a week of the TBC. Hope this helps.
