Guest guest
She is two but has had in since she was 1. Its on her eye lids, inside the crux of her arm and behind te knees. Lately she is also getting spots on her belly and arm. Its dry, inflamed and raw. Its not a " rash " and it goes almost completely away at times. She comes up and tells me " mommy, owwwy " . I cant stand this. She is in pain and I dont know how to help her. The " cream " the DR gives her only helps to clear it up for a day or two. I know there is an underlying cause but Im not sure what. My other children do not have this skin problem so I think we can rule out hereditary. I also cant see how you would do a cleanse on a baby. Anyone ever treat it successfully? Guest guest
The underlying cause is dehydration. Water, water, water. Gatorade has alot of great electrolytes and stuff. Smartwater has it without the sugar. You could also try juicing some raw fruit juice. - " firethorn " <blueriverranch <herbal remedies > Wednesday, February 24, 2010 6:40 PM {Herbal Remedies} My baby has psoriasis, how can I treat it? > She is two but has had in since she was 1. Guest guest
My now 4 year old daughter had eczema, I am not sure on the difference between the two, but it to would come and go, flare up, crack and ooze and cause pain. It was mostly behind her knees and upper arms. The docs wanted to put her on steroids, I declined. And began to research natural ways to treat it which has lead to a completely different lifestyle. Before kids the only thing I considered was their actual birth being medicine free and restricted use of antibiotics but did not consider vaccines. So both of my kids are partly vaccinated. I changed our laundry detergent and soap to begin with. Then removed some processed food ingredients, I remember High Frutose Corn Syrup being a big one that I watched for, as I read more and learned more I switched to completely organic milk / products, fruits and vegetables, add helpful oils like coconut oil (we use it to cook and its the only body lotion we use on the kids) flax seed oil in smoothies. Added a vitamin (greens today children), vitamin D and a probiotic daily. We use natural cleaning products like vinegar and baking soda. Her eczema is gone, has never been on antibiotics, and only been sick once this winter and I know where it came from (we went out to eat with a friend and she told me half way through dinner, after letting the kids share food, that her son was running a fever and had been acting like he was getting sick, but both kids were over being sick within a few days, it took him almost two weeks to get well) I don't know about your lifestyle but everything you eat, put on your body and are around can have an effect on your skin. She still has sensitive skin and I have to watch what she eats, wears and puts on herself or she'll break out not with eczema but in itchy bumps, a rash or dry patches. Coconut oil is great on the skin! Hope it helps herbal remedies , " firethorn " <blueriverranch wrote: > > She is two but has had in since she was 1. Guest guest
Yup. The first thing you need to do is get her system Alkaline. Use the Alkaline Water Recipe that was posted to the list a couple of weeks ago. It'll work wonders. After that has been introduced to her diet, we'll take it from there. It would be helpful to have an example of her diet. All the best, Doc On 2/24/2010 9:40 PM, firethorn wrote: She is two but has had in since she was 1.
