Guest guest
I'm not Doc, but I wanted to throw out this suggestion that somebody else used quite successfully. They taped a penny to their belly button. Kinda strange I know, but it worked for them!Ingrid"Be one more blind follower of the blind, and you will have the oblivion you desire."Bliss Carman1861-1929, Poet--- On Thu, 2/18/10, Leslie Brown <lesliepepple wrote:Leslie Brown <lesliepepple{Herbal Remedies} Dizziness question"herbal remedies" <herbal remedies >Thursday, February 18, 2010, 8:56 PM Doc, Wondering if you know what would cause dizziness or being lightheaded while moving such as driving a car? Guest guest
Leslie, I have fought with lightheadedness for a couple of years. I have had a couple of reconstructive ear surgeries. I went to many different Drs. Trying to figure out the problem. A neurologist finally diagnosed me with vestibulopathy. It is crystals forming in the middle ear. He wanted me to take valium for the rest of my life. I started taking Valerian Root and the light headedness has gone away. Another friend suggested I try Hydrangea to break up the crystals which is used for kidney stones. I started these in December and have not been lightheadedness since. There are many possibilities that can cause lightheadedness and dizziness from tumors to heart issues. I hope this helped, good luck. Guest guest
Su,     Yes it is. Keep in mind Valerian root helps with the lightheadedness and it can take 6 months or longer for Hydrangea to completely break up the crystals. Guest guest
This is not a herbal remedy, but it will work for certain forms of vertigo. IF you have Benign Positional Vertigo, caused by crystals in the ear, you can help yourself with certain exercises while you are waiting for Doc's herbals to take effect. Go to YouTube, and search for BPV and Epley maneuver. I found this first in a novel, of all places. In Barbara Kingsolver's "Prodigal Summer" one character cures another by having him lie across a log and roll his head a certain way. Log not required, . And as Doc may already have mentioned, always remember that the gallbladder meridian loops around the ear a few times. Clearing the liver is always a good idea. If you are still dizzy afterwards, at least you will have a clean liver. Harm done, none. I just love the win/win model of natural medicine!
