Hello & Happy New Year to everyone!Recently, a special friend of ours suffered a stroke... He is unwilling to receive an "official" diagnosis & so far- refuses any sort of "treatment" conventional or otherwise...However, I was hoping y'all would have some suggestions for slightly altering his diet to aid in healing & prevention...He has no teeth, so typically he eats "soups" made up of beans, canned veg., onions, rice, etc that has been thoroughly cooked... He may or may not attempt to actually eat the solids, but he sips at the broths...I was considering asking him to try adding olive oil- does it need to be EVO or what?He doesn't like the taste of garlic or anything spicy... :o/(Can you tell he's hard-headed???)At this point, he cannot speak understandably or write, but he can comprehend what's being said to him & he can move around fairly well...I'm guessing it's been about a week since the initial stroke & it's very likely he's had another since then...Any/all suggestions appreciated!Thank you so very much!
