Flu recuperation

Hi,

I'm new to this group. I came down with the flu about a week before Christmas,

almost two weeks ago. It started with chest congestion for a couple days before

I began getting body aches, fever, all over GREAT malaise. I was well enough

Christmas Eve to get together with family but I really don't feel well, like I'm

not quite 'with it', feel a bit disoriented. I still have minimal coughing and

I can hear crackles in my chest when lying down (when it's quiet enough to

hear). Body aches and fever are gone.

I've been taking an infection formula with plantain leaves, black walnut, golden

seal root, bugleweed, marshmallow root and lobelia along with tinctures of

mullein, lobelia, astragalus, and olive leaf. I also take vitamins A, C, D, and

iodine and baking soda. I've also had some good homemade soups but not much

food intake overall. Today I slept for over four hours. I'll be up a little

while and then run out of stamina again.

I've just made a batch of Master Tonic with garlic, onion, jalapeno,

horseradish, ginger in an apple cider vinegar base. I have not used echinacea

or elderberry as I have read research that with the Swine Flu/H1N1 it could

cause a cytokine storm and would cause the immune system to overreact. I don't

know if I have the H1N1 but I do know I have a flu.

Long story short, I still feel so weak and 'out of it' and WANT to get WELL. Is

this just part of the flu this year and it will take awhile? Just lay low and

take it easy? Any helpful hints?

Thanks,

cc
