Guest guest
There are many good herbal products for good eye health. I use flax seed oil daily two drops in the evening with out legumes. Make sure its a good organic brand. In addition I use a eye drop solution from organic solutions which contains Ingredients: Eyebright Herb Red Raspberry Leaf Goldenseal Root Bayberry Bark DMSO Cayenne Pepper That said I am not sure your husbands eating habbits but if he eats at truck stops he needs to address his eating. Lots of green leaf vegs, carrots juicing would be excellent. I would also recommend doing a 7 day liver cleanse. Good eye health starts with the liver. All the best of health in 2010 MIke

Guest guest
I use coconut oil, straight from the jar. I keep a tiny bit in an old contact lens case beside my bed. I rub it in the corners of my eyes and on the lash sections of the eye, just before going to sleep, as it fogs my vision. It has really helped. Guest guest
Do you actually get the coconut oil in your eyeballs Katherine? ~Amber I use coconut oil, straight from the jar. Guest guest
I put the coconut oil directly into the eye. It doesn't sting, just clouds the eyes. It is anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial. Katherine

Guest guest
I buy my coconut oil here http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/learn/oilprofile/coconut-virgin.php. I also remember my mother using boric acid for an eye wash, when I was growing up. I just looked up where to buy it and I found the best deal at Amazon.com. When using, it is diluted of course. Both boric acid and coconut oil are antifungal. Katherine
Guest guest
I have dry eyes too (Sjogren's Syndrome). I would suggest getting checked for that if you don't know the source of your dry eyes. It is often certain meds. Either way, your eyes can become damaged without adequate moisture. The boric acid water did not do it for me when I tried it. It would dissipate very quickly. I have not tried the coconut oil but may. Does anyone know if the coconut oil would have the same beneficial effect as fresh coconut water or milk would have as I've read in the past is very helpful, but it was emphasized it had to be fresh and in rural Neb. that is an impossibility or at least an expensive possibility! In the past I've used the night creams & hated them .. but after eliminating some of the meds I was taking during that time, I've been able to get by with el-cheapo generic for the Natural Tears. I can't take the kind with an ingredient in it that starts with "t" (I don't remember what that common commercial eye moisturizer ingredient is called and probably wouldn't remember how to spell it anyway, but the one which is more helpful to me is a "poly" something or other is its ingredient. Dollar Gen usually has it. Hope that helps. Joyce There is ALWAYS a "BETTER WAY"! WE can find & make ITa "Cradle for Humanity"!
