Milk...

I've been reading the Raw milk thread. We haven't switched to raw milk yet but

are looking into it... I'm realising that the 45 minutes we'd have to drive to

get it may be well worth it as I hear so many are traveling out of state to get

theirs!

It is interesting to note that since I've become pregnant, even my hormone free

milk makes me feel bad. In fact, I can't have much dairy at all without getting

nauseous! I'm not sure why... but am trying to listen to my body as much as

possible.

Lori-

We switched to raw milk over 2 years ago. We drive more than 70 miles

one way to get it, making this trip every two weeks. It is WAY worth

it. The cooked milk tastes almost carmelized now that I am used to

the real stuff. Not only do people who have problems with dairy

usually have those fixed by drinking raw milk, it is more filling, and

it has cut down on the amount of meat I need.

My sister got sick with milk when pregnant and could drink the raw stuff.

Raw is best with pretty much anything.

Lori, organic milk is junk too. The pasteurization changes the milk so that it is completely different. When we run out of our milk I was once known to run out for a gallon of organic from the supermarket. But it usually makes us sick...our bellies object!!
