Guest guest
Hello, I’m a fairly new member but absolutely am thrilled on all of Doc’s tinctures and remedies and can’t wait to try some of them. My question is how do you discern what exactly to use if for instance a tincture calls for “Goldenseal”? There’s goldenseal leaf, goldenseal leaf powder, goldenseal root, goldenseal root powder…I haven’t a clue as to what I should lean towards when it comes to have multiple choices like this. Is it better to get the powder or should you get “whole” and start that way? Also, anybody have a really good source in getting a lot of these herbs at discount/wholesale prices? I see a lot of fluctuations and would benefit from quality, organic but at decent prices. It’d also be great to get “one stop shopping” if at all possible too. THANKS J Lisa
Guest guest
Lisa, Which formula are you referring to exactly ?We use powdered for most formulas. It can be difficult to find sources. One stop is nearly impossible ! I think there are some sources in the file section. Guest guest
The best source I know is Frontier -- http://www.frontiercoop.com/ If you are part of, or form, a buying club or coop group, you can apply for wholesale membership which gives access to reduced prices and products from other manufacturers. Guest guest
Thanks Mary, I’m still waiting for my CD so I do apologize for jumping the gun and not reading absolutely everything before asking questions! I’m interested in making the eyebright formula and also the total nutrition and even the intestinal cleanse at some point. Actually, if I had the funds I’d buy all the ingredients so I could make everything so I would have it for when I needed J but I figure the most pressing issues I have would be best. My eyes aren’t what they used to be so I want to give the eyebright formula a chance. Then, I’m sure I have candida as I crave carbs, sugars, wine and as much as I try to eat healthy – I always backslide…, thus the intestinal cleanse I’m hoping will be good for me. Then the total nutrition will help me keep on track with the hopes that my metabolism will get back to where it should be so I can drop the extra weight that I’ve been carrying (30lbs would do…50lbs would get me to “ideal” J). I’ve read just about everything in the file section…can you point me in the right direction for the sources please?
