DO NOT use Blach or Blue Cohash or use them together in pregnancy. These herbs

act like pitocin (a labor inducing drug) on the body. They are used sometimes

by midwives to induce or progress labor. There are new studies that show they

can cause severe fetal distress and some babies have had brain bleeds from the

intense contractions.

Dr.'s and midwives who have read these studies recommend against using Cohash

period until further studies can be done.
