Guest guest
On the colloidal silver list, someone asked if using DMSO to make tinctures is a better way to extract healing properties than using alcohol. I thought that was a great question! Does anyone on this list do that? What are your thoughts about it? Guest guest
We only use DMSO when we can control our environments. For example when I get stuck in the congestion on the stairwell at the library and it reeks of bleach I'm glad that I am not "open" with DMSO. Most public places would be no-no because many commercial pesticides are odorless and you would never know if the Orkin man had just left right before you arrived, with every cell in your body open and receptive to those poisons. Guest guest
I have made tinctures with DMSO .. it extracts just fine. Have done cayenne, Yarrow and mixed greens, garlic. It would seem limitless and is beneficial, (in my opinion) in small amounts internally as well as externally to "deliver" whatever through the system. However, since it "delivers" so well .. watch toxins, clothes dyes, etc. I made a "mistake" early on, forgetting about the clothes dyes being absorbed by the DMSO and then transported through skin .. I was wearing black jeans, had on white brief but which left waistline exposed. I had a backache so put DMSO on back and around hips to the front. Later, when in the bathroom with jeans off, I saw this horrendous "bruising" on both hips in front .. seemed to go to my back. Was very puzzled how I could have hurt myself to generate a bruising so extensive but yet didn't hurt. It was quite the light-bulb moment when I thought about the DMSO ... and went about vigorously scrubbing the bruises off!! So watch WHAT you "deliver" or tincture, or extract!!
