Lot's of factors to consider (including the source, triggers, and history) and very individual. What is helpful for one person may not be at all helpful for another. Age is also a factor. I would hate to generalize about asthma. Guest guest
--- through my own stupidity.. I sent myself into a whopper of an asthma attack a few days ago.. am recovering now after a couple hospital visits.. but I am still coughing up clear mucous. What would be a good herb/s (and in what form) to help clear it up. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.pat
Guest guest
Doc's Huff and puff! I would only half the dose though, because it is VERY powerful and could cause you to cough too much. I had a similar issue this summer and a few drops of this helped to clear obstructions and keep my airways open. Guest guest
Also/or lobelia. I'm asthmatic. I carry lobelia tablet with me at all times and take it whenever I feel asthma kicking in. But lobelia (aka puke weed) makes me feel nauseous on an empty stomach, so I try to remember to eat before taking it. Doc has good information on this herb in his files. herbal remedies From: heavenly_helper2005Date: Fri, 25 Sep 2009 17:52:36 -0700Re: {Herbal Remedies} Asthma question Doc's Huff and puff! Guest guest
Grind the dry herb and encapsule the powder. Do you have a capsule "machine"?I've tried a few different types, but my favorite is this one: http://www.lhasaoms.com/pills_capsules-102-page.html (blue and orange)It fills 100 capsules at a time, so it saves me a lot of time. If you make capsules while you watch TV, you won't even notice the time go by, although, actually, once you get used to filling capsules you can whip up a batch really quickly. herbal remedies From: StargazerDate: Mon, 28 Sep 2009 08:43:13 -0700Re: {Herbal Remedies} Asthma question Kathy Runkle wrote: Nature's Sunshine has them.
